  1. Yes sir… I miss them too. If someone in the Pens front office had half of a brain they would make those sweaters the Pens 3rd jersey's for the 2013-2014 season. I hate those blue sweaters!!! The blue ones the Pens were wearing in the Winter Classic in 08 were ok,but every 3rd jersey since I haven't cared for… I would like to see this uniform or the old yellow ones they wore in 84-85…

  2. The score was 2-1 Pittsburgh with a couple of minutes left in the 1st period. This game was critical for the Pens bc it was game 6 and the Pens were down 3-2 in the opening series of the 91 playoffs. Pittsburgh went on to win this game 4-3 forcing a game 7. Frank Pietrangelo went on to have a shutout in game 7 as Pgh won this series 4 games to 3. The Pens also went on to win the Stanley Cup that year(91) and the following year(92). That's why this save is a huge deal…

  3. It was a culmination of both.. All Pietranglo could do is throw his glove up. Peter Statsny scored many NHL goals over his career and he certainly didn't let a cream puff go off of his stick here. Statsny actually had a yawning cage and ripped the puck right where Pietranglo put his glove. There def was luck involved here though as there always is.

  4. You're an idiot!!!! This is one of the best/biggest saves in the history of the NHL… Go back to the kitchen little girl and let the people who know the sport comment…

  5. The comment has since been deleted, so I don't know what the previous commenter said, however there is no need to resort to misogynistic insults.

  6. I love how Stastny's about to start celebrating and then it's like, "Aw fuck!"  HA HA!!!

  7. Did Stastny hit that puck out of the air? It looks like the puck is on the ice in this video but when I was a kid I always thought it was slapped out of the air by Stastny.
