  1. I have to imagine Cernak is on his way out of Tampa. His play has dropped off a bit and he's constantly injured. His $5.2 million AAV would be very valuable. I can't really see the Bolts moving on from anyone else for the purposes of clearing cap space

  2. mcdonagh was really good for us the last. gonna miss him. hopefully this means spencer stastney gets a full time role next year. his speed from the blue line is a weapon

  3. I feel this move is to help the young defensemen like Lilleberg, Crozier & Perbix. Another accomplished vet in the room to guide them. I also believe one or two more guys are on the outs. Cirelli & Cernak maybe?

  4. Coild the McDonough trade be a precursor to bigger moves ie Saros to Toronto for Marner… Then Stamkos back home to TO? Would be wild.

  5. Gotta be honest I never knew Kase left the league and went to go play alongside his brother in Czechia. He looks like he'd still be a solid bottom 6 option on most teams in the league.

  6. After the Jeannot and McDonagh trades, it feels like the Preds have all of Tampa's draft picks for the next few years!

  7. I hope Kase is feeling stronger. Perhaps he needed the lower intensity travel schedule for a year to recover

  8. Getting McDonagh back here to Tampa Bay is a good thing, but the downside is having only US$5M in cap space afterward. Julien BriseBois can't stop there if he wants to keep Steven Stamkos.

  9. Kase has had WAY too many concussions to come back to the physicality of the NHL. Its wonderful that hes got his health back, dont risk ruining the quality of life by trying a comeback.

  10. As a British citizen I can confirm no notice has been paid to Britain in the world championships 😢, in fact the only reason I know are because tsn puts the highlights up on here.

  11. Kase is a great depth scorer but man his injury history and his playstyle is not a great combo. When he was on the Leafs I've never seen a player get lit up, fall, smash into the boards, etc., so much.

  12. I’m shocked they’re giving up Stamkos to reacquire a guy they traded away lol especially with them already having Hedman and Sergachev on the left side

  13. I'm picking Moose Jaw to win the Mem Cup too. Two Pens prospects in Pickering and Yager have done well in the WHL playoffs.

  14. Cernak and/or Cirelli are likely going to be moved. I dont like leting Cirelli go but Cernak isbway to injury prone. We need McDonaghs rock solid defense more than anything else right (huh just like when we picked him up the first time!)

  15. I don't believe BriseBois would make this trade without a plan for Stamkos in place.

  16. Michkov is apparently heading to Philadelphia next season, according to multiple European news outlets. Managed to terminate his contract with the KHL team.

  17. I'm super excited to see Mac return to TB! Trading him was the second worst trade I've ever seen, behind the Jannot trade.

  18. Nashville didn’t move off of Mcdonagh because they thought he is great got a good return and cap space I think is going to look like a terrible trade in a year

  19. As a Rangers fan, Ryan Mcdonagh was my favorite player on the 2013-14 run. Tampa won that trade with the Rangers. Now that he’s back with the Bolts I can see him play a few more times next season.

  20. Interesting, I didn’t know they could make trades during the playoffs? Why did they even trade him in the first place?

  21. i didnt even know you could trade at this time of year i thought that was only on draft day + july 1

  22. Re: power rankings, looking at the top 8 not left, 1 fell to 2, 4 fell to 8 who fell to 3, and 6 fell to 7
