Vladdy 🙁
This is so sad and this defines the beauty of sports
Greatest moment in hockey history
Red Wings loved their Russian players. Loved their European players in general. They even actually play European style hockey
How I miss the old days of red wings hockey, team is dead now 🙁
This moment still makes me shed tears
I remember that game 4. The moment when Vladdy was in the crowd and the response he got from Washington's fans and players was incredible. It was an incredibly classy move on their part to give him the ovation he got. I was disappointed that it happened on the road but the fans in Washington earned a lot of respect from Detroit fans that night.
Brothers in arms
My father made me watch the Red Wings because of the Russian 5 when i was 7. Coming from a former soviet country he knew and loved the style the soviets played. Ill never forget this moment watching it live with my dad . I still tear up watching these videos. Have been a die hard red wings fan since.
The tragedy of Vladdy and later on Jiri Fischer set back the Wings' defense. I wonder what they could have achieved had both players been able to play.
Vlad was for real my favorite player when I was a young 16 year old canadian kid . I still have my vlad jersey from 1996 . It's my only sentimental attachment.
❤️
Да великих русских хоккеистов очень много .Но Влади это больше чем великий он великий русский человек.Я казах но таких железных людей в жизни видел немного!!!Дай Всевышний Аллах всех благ ему и его близким!!!
The C on Yzerman’s jersey stands for class too
This is why I’ll always and forever be a proud Red Wings fan.
I still shed tears everytime I see this.
I remember being young and watching the Red Wings win the cup back to back. See the look on his face when they handed him the cup. This is why I am still a fan of hockey today.
