Sergachev contract is horrendous. Who in their good mind would give such money to Sergachev. He is not worth more than 5.5-6M. That contract was the begging of the end for Tampa

As a nashville fan I'm torn with this move….love ryan he's been a solid second pair guy blocking shots killing penalties and being a solid mentor to the young defense…the 6.8 ish mil cap relief (especially with dead cap from buyout pilling up) is huge in the getting faster and younger. Spencer stasney is ready to step up louzon and schen are solid. They didn't give up alot to get him and got a couple picks in return. Overall a W

Geesh….I predict the Lightening will put 5-10 players on LTIR and sign a bunch of new players and then bring all the LTIR players back just in time for the playoffs to circumvent the salary cap issues!!!!

They expect Stamkos to take a team friendly deal, say 2.5 with another 2 available in performance bonuses
This means Stamkos is staying at a reduced cap hit. Guessing this is one of his demands to stay.
