Les Kings de Los Angeles ont nommé Jim Hiller comme le 30e entraîneur-chef du club dans l’histoire de la franchise, a annoncé le mercredi 22 mai 2024 le vice-président et directeur général Rob Blake. Hiller, 55 ans, a initialement été élevé au poste d’entraîneur-chef par intérim des Kings le 2 février 2024, après avoir été entraîneur adjoint au cours des deux dernières saisons. Hiller a fait ses débuts comme entraîneur-chef le 10 février contre les Oilers d’Edmonton pour devenir le 18e entraîneur-chef différent dans l’histoire de la ligue à faire ses débuts comme entraîneur avec l’équipe qui les avait initialement repêchés, et le premier à le faire depuis Phil Housley (6e au total, 1982 par Buffle). Without certain roster moves this team will be the same team we saw the last half of last year and in the playoffs. The downward spiral of LA Kings Hockey appears to be continuing. Insanity!!

Hiller gets a 3-year deal with a 4th year option. Blake is definitely getting extended as well or already has been already. I will say this the Kings have mastered the art of BS and not saying anything. I am ashamed to be a Kings fan, another 5 years of mediocrity or bottoming out.
Sigh… I'm not too thrilled, but I will still watch next season. Wash, rinse, repeat. Insanity.

Every year they make it harder to justify keeping season tickets. The in arena experience has declined significantly. Blake has got to go, his decisions and vision are not conducive to building a winning franchise.
