  1. I’m a Xhekaj fan, but if this idea is real, trade him away. You can get another top offense guy for the 9th pick, and our defense future is looking good

  2. This is the craziest click bait video ever. Just cause nyi are insane doesn’t mean Calgary are. Not worth 9th. That’s insane

  3. you don't find this kind of player everywhere. I'm keeping him and trying to sign him for the next 8 years

  4. This may be the worst video you have ever posted. You know this would never ever happen.

  5. Habs draft Tij #5 and force it lol.

Or you do it before the draft. Package #5 and #9 for #2 and get Demi(god)dov + a 2nd next year or something

  6. Xhekaj is to much in demand to be able to keep him. The new GM's team does not like that kind of player (like Romanov). He's gone.

  7. Why would the Canadiens help Calgary this year? They own Calgary's 1st round pick. It would be in the Canadiens best interest to make sure that the Calgary Flames keeps sucking.. at least for the next season.

  8. the amount of casual fans that want to trade him for the 9th pick is depressing

  9. Not being a Flames fan, I can't really say one way or another BUT I would say, the dude is realistically a Penalty MAGNET, look at the games he actually played in last year and the volume of penalties he took.

  10. Can't Montreal be happy with just the 26th overall ?? I mean trying to take the Flames 1st round pick for a guy who sits in the penalty box as much as he does, is kind of pressing it don't you think?

  11. i am a habs fan born and raised and let me tell youu…..WE AINT TRADING THAT GUY TABARNAKKKK!!!!!!!

  12. I just can't see a world where a team would give up any of the guys in the top 10 for Xhekaj. He's a decent young player with good size but these players are being drafted under the assumption that they are going to be part of the core of the team. Conroy has been trying to get lasting value for his UFAs and has been loading up on picks/prospects… I could see him trying to send out a 2025 UFA before he tries to send out the Flames' 7th highest pick in team history.

  13. The way Xhekaj has been progressing and his history of being a late bloomer I definitely wouldn’t trade him for the 9th overall pick. I also don’t think Calgary would do this trade

  14. Do NOT trade Xhekaj!!! He will be a game changer and will be needed come playoff time.

  15. I can understand the temptation to use the high value of Xhekaj for a high pick, but, what are the chances that pick becomes a player of that worth.
What makes Xhekaj’s worth, is the fact that players like him do not come up often in drafts. 6’4” 230+lbs with a 107mph shot, that can fight and play physical is a GM’s playoff wet dream. He’s just built different and made for playoffs. Even a Macklin Celebrini might not be worth a Xhekaj… let me explain, not talent wise, but imagine a playoff series where both these players go head to head… I think a guy like Xhekaj if he reaches his potential, could become the closest thing to prime Shea Weber. I could even see a world where he’s actually a bit better, because of his skating if he dials in some of the hard core shut down defense that Weber had. Trading him away, is a huge gamble, and even if flashy forwards are sexy, teams need players like Xhekaj to win the important games, because his value goes way beyond points on the board. This is also the reason why MTL drafted a player like Slaf. Wright, Cooley have skill, maybe even more so than Slaf. When the time comes for big games, I like having Slaf on our side, same with Xhekaj.

  16. If they want xhekaj tht bad give me tij iginla kadri 50 percent retain and huberdeau 50 percent retain and we have a deal
