  1. I get a lot of fans have soured on Liljegren but trading him would be a mistake. He hasn't hit 300 games yet so no we don't know what he is yet, takes the average D like 3-4 seasons to figure it out. And he's an RD, something the Leafs need more of.

D is hard in the NHL, these guys need to learn how to defend against guys like Mackinnon, McDavid, Matthews, etc. Put any D in this league, even the best, under a microscope and you will see a lot of warts. It's just the nature of the position. Trading Liljegren would be a mistake.

  2. Guys making more than their production

    Liljegren
    Kampf
    Reeves
    Reilly
    Tavares

Id look into trading all those peices before Marner

  3. Uh, Marner has a no trade-clause. Let's see if Berube can get him going. Where are you going to get the almost 100 points that he gets every year just to get us to the playoffs. Even Burke said he would keep Marner. He's just too talented to let go. Don't make the same mistake the Leafs made with Davey Keon decades ago. Keon was too skilled to mix it up in the corners. Marner is this generations Keon. Build toughness around him. Traveres will be off the books in another year. He should've never been signed.

  4. I think Craig Berube can get more out of everyone there, Id like to see some additions but we can't be throwing anyone away till we know what the new system and head coach can get out of what's there. Move out what's movable but don't force anything to calm the voices out side the room just to quiet the masses, the masses will always be unhappy until they win something.

  5. Whether you like lilly or not, he’s the only rhd leafs have. Leafs d is structured so screwed up, pure lefts.

  6. We need rhd and we need puck-moving dmen.
Yet Lilj, who is supposedly both, is on the block.
Red flags anyone? He's just not that good.

  7. Lilijgren needs to stay … otherwise it will look to future prospects that they will move them.

  8. Forget Debrusk. Sign Velano from Detroit (UFA) for the power play. Also sign Montour (UFA). Trade Marner for Petriangelo and goalie Aidin Hill from Vegas. Marner would go to Vegas.

  9. I would try Lily under another coach. He stagnated under Keefe on two ocassions, when Keefe coached in the AHL and again under him in the NHL. He tried under another coach in the AHL which led to his promotion to the Leafs. The reality of it is that few players in the Toronto pipeline of young players developed under Keefe. Even Bobby McMann was a scratch with Keefe until he ran out of bodies and he was forced to play him. He scored a couple of goals and then had to keep him in the lineup. Th eplayers that played for Keefe with the Marlies other than Nylander hae not experienced any typeof real success at the NHL level.

  10. You should take your leafs blinders off when talking trade.
Sanheim drysdale attard risto snd bonk coming why would flyers trade for rd.

  11. Cam York as mentioned previously….. He's what we thought/wanted Lilly to be. We have Minten, Cowan, and the Homie all vying for time at C…. Bring in a bonafide center or go with the kids. If they struggle…. Something we can bolster at the deadline
