Wayne obviously had a great take about them needing to get the puck into the middle of the ice to take closer shots.

I totally thought he glitched out. Like, his brain just stopped for a couple seconds.
It’s not that he did something wrong, he made the goalie to commit down his stick but mad props to Tanev who came and denied him elevating the puck. Tanev had the 1st star, 2nd Otter, 3rd whoever passed to McD on that play.

For some reason just tried to wait JO out. Just gotta roof it and roll with it, and I’m sure that’s what he does 99/100 times. For some reason that was the 1 anomaly.
He did score but you are right that hes not been his usual self since the Canuck series. He seems a lot slower too. Makes you wonder if hes maybe injured?

However, will say he’s 100% playing through something. He’s losing foot-races, has an unusually high amount of high-sticks, and in general doesn’t seem as McDavidey as usually. However, that’s not to say he’s not making an impact. He’s great at getting the puck in the zone, drawing defenders, playing solid, and of course is still McDavid so you better not leave him wide open
