  1. I find it funny why people ask "why can't they play like that the whole game?!?!" I mean, there's two competing teams and competing psychologies. Once up and close to the 3rd, Oilers switched to a "don't make mistakes" mode, which gave up the blueline more in attempt close up around the net and chip back out.

The Canucks also switched to "go all out" mode which is risky when the score is close. It's the push and pull of a game. Fact is the Oilers were the team who could dictate play this series. If they chose to attack and go all out, you had to weather the storm. If the Canucks played that way it wouldn't have worked to their strengths. Looking back, maybe I would have liked to see that a lot more rather than the one-goal game extravaganza, but maybe we wouldn't even have seen a game 7 if that were the case.

  2. pettersson's lack of production really hurt the line up. as frank seravelli said, he is playing like he is scared and weak.

  3. Marc is right about experience and learning, but honestly some Canucks don't care or have the passion to win. There are just easy come and easy go. If they have an off night, so be it. There is no heart or fight. Nearly 6 periods of fraidy cat hockey.

  4. Stanley Cup teams all have one thing in common – they're aggressive in all zones! Tocchet's d-zone and PK is way too passive – you can't give any NHL player time and space to make plays!!!

  5. Look they get paid either way and either way who cares??
They already are on the planes to their full paid vacations with those non males who are spending the $$$$
