Rangers played a terrible game. Allowed 108 shots and 40 on goal. Allow 6 power plays opportunities and they still win. They only took 44 shots and less than 20 on goal
The Rangers 1st line has been silent for 3 games. Wait until they wake up…..
C'mon Panthers are right. 4 minute power play and only take one shot and allow a short handed goal. That's where the game turned

Panthers traded for the wrong player. We knew Tarasenko was not a big time player. They should have gave up more to get Guenzel. It would have been a great playoff team

Tarasenko benched but not ekblad? I do not understand this echl player's hold on everyone. What is this spell that i seem to be the only one with immunity to? He is far and away the worst player in the nhl 2 years running. Its psychotic already.

That was a devastating loss for Florida. They have out played NY by a far margin and only come away with 1 out of 3. Florida’s play behind the net was a huge success but Igor has been solid and calm. Rangers are in good position and haven’t played their best hockey yet. Maurice has become one of my favorite coaches.
Tarasanko did the same thing last year for NY. I barely heard his name and he can end up being another cancerous rental. After winning a cup he may become a Jinx rental
I listened to the game on the radio because it was so stressful and watched you and your friends podcast. The series is far from over relax guys. If you remember I said the way to beat the Rangers is speed and skill not low event hockey the Panthers looked miles better when they stopped trying to audition for slap shot 2 and skated and pressed the Rangers all night. The Rangers handle teams that are defensive and heavy hitting very well all season. They struggle much more with fast transition teams like Toronto if the Panthers go back to the style of games 1 and 2 the Rangers will just counter and finish better. Tell me you didn't notice how much better they looked when they just skated and let all that macho stuff go. If they play the rest of the series more offensively and keep the pressure up they can still win the series. I have a feeling they won't play that way though the coach doesn't like to play that way.

Sad thing is Igor is NOT unbeatable. He has a similar weak spot to Bobby. Rangers are just holding them off enough and getting the job done right now. Fucking sucks. Still think it's going to go 7, but this one stung.
After we generated that flurry of chances at the end of the 3rd after we tied the game, I said to myself out loud "We needed one of those." We control most of that overtime period, and lo and behold, they get one chance and it's in the back of the net. It's not over, but that one hurt.
I knew even after game 1 we weren’t gonna win another. Igor is the best athlete in sports. Also, our defense is putrid. Our playoff luck started beating an injured Ullmark last year and having Bob play like Hasek. Luck has officially ran out finally. What was supposed to happen is now finally happening. Rangers will out score us by more than double in games 4 and 5. Back to irrelevancy after next season when we get swept by Boston in round 2. Bill Zito was a glitch in the matrix and he may just be a puppet to further advance the NHL metrics

There is still a lot of hockey left in this series. I can definitely get your frustration but keep your head up!
This series is so similar to Rangers/Hurricanes. The Canes were playing just like your boys, swarming the game, putting up all the stats you want except more goals than the other team.
Definitely haven't been happy with this group game to game besides Igor. Team looks slow, waiting for perfect chances, not throwing any meaningful body checks, being out worked for long stretches, long stretches of no shots, but some how they win games 2 and 3 in OT.
Still think the Panthers are the toughest test for the Rangers this playoff, so don't expect this series to be over now.

I keep hearing a ton of people complaining about ESPN pushing the Rangers. I get that Florida is old news to a lot of people and the Rangers are hot, but they don't even try to build hype around Florida. Last year they were constantly tracking Tkachuk's playoff progress with his high school friend Jason Tatum, who is also in the semi finals for his team in the NBA. 0 talk of both of them not giving up and fighting for a 2nd chance at a championship.
