The Messier situation in Vancouver is so weird on so many levels. The guy has two fanbases that would gladly lie down in traffic for him (hell, I’m wearing my throwback Oilers Messier jersey right now), but everything seemed to go south in Vancouver.
It sure seems like his ego took over once he got there.
Among soccer fans, folks who don’t like Pep Guardiola call him « bald fraud ».

It’s funny most fan bases talk about playoff success and cups won and all Canucks fans talk about is how 25 years ago a guy with 6 rings at the end of his career fucked them .
Fuck Messier and fuck Mike Keenan
It was certainly a weird time for the team and its fans, and nobody has ever fully explained what exactly was it that made it all go so wildly wrong. Messier seemed to be tied too much to Keenan, who has never been popular or even much-respected by many players in the league. Ultimately it was the fault of ownership for letting the dysfunctional Messier/Keenan rot fester, and it was left to a guy who actually knew what he was doing (the subsequently hired GM Burke) who thankfully got rid of them both.
I rarely use this word and it’s only used for real shit bags of history. But I will always hate messier and Keenan. The worst of the worst. Fuck messier.
Enrico is from my hometown!
Super chill guy, his mother ran a hot dog and fries truck that went from parc to parc and rink to rink. The best fries in town !
He’s now a respected politician and all around good dude.
