What’s fascinating is that Terry played in the NHL for 14 years, retired into being the Assistant Coach with the Flyers for three years and achieving two Stanley Cup wins, before going down to the Ontario juniors for about 7 years.
The Flames named him Head Coach in 87-88. They’d win the cup in the following season.
Absolutely amazing.
I don’t know if that’s testament to Terry’s coaching ability or just the caliber of the Flames in that golden era season.
