Well, yeah… bc he knows he’s going to be playing for someone else next year

Why would he be worried? This summer is a win-win for him.

Happy for him no matter what happens. After the Rangers series I am definitely looking for a new « favorite former Canes player » so it’s him if he leaves. And if he stays somehow, I won’t be disappointed.

He just won gold in a pretty important tournament, I wouldn’t care about it either if I was him

I really really don’t want him to leave. I’ve built a personal collection of game worn jerseys of his and I want him in red and black his whole career. While sure Aho is our best player, there is no one else, sans Svechnikov, on the team that has the capability to do something that continually wows you. His skating is unreal and if we can figure out how to get him more effective linemates to match his creativity (which Kuzy did) then we need to do it. He should be one of the players we build around. If not, and I hate to say it, but I’m fine with him somehow going to Boston and somehow playing with Pasta or somehow going to Edmonton and playing with McDavid as the two together would just be “I am speed”.

Great player, if he signs elsewhere wish him all the best and a great career. We shouldn’t have any sour grapes with him.
