This has got to be one of the best/funniest line brawls ever.
-John Scott telling the bench he’s fighting whoever they put out next to him
-Leafs’ trying to ruin his plan by putting Kessel out there, a skill player who is not known for being tough, and is like half the size of Scott
-Scott saying screw it and going after Kessel anyways
-Scott dropping the gloves as if he actually thought Kessel would have any interest in fighting him
-Kessel being terrified, but then also giving him two whacks with his stick which was hilarious
-almost every single leafs player jumping John to try to stop him, plus multiple refs trying to stop him
-Kessel actually getting into a fight
-Poor Brian Flynn getting the brakes beaten off of him by Kessel of all people 😂 to the point where he was leaking blood and to the point where Kessel even had to take mercy on him and just… stop fighting 😂
-The awesome goalie fight, Miller seemingly the favourite, acting a little cocky, but then getting pretty cleanly beaten (good, competitive goalie fight, Miller landed a couple but definitely lost)
-the ref who watching Miller and Bernier being so reluctant to stop their fight 😂 they both stopped throwing punches and were just looking at each other but the ref waited like a solid 5 extra seconds to separate them, almost as if he wanted to see the goalie tilt keep going
-John being restrained by a small army, and Kessel coming back to taunt him and spear him before skating away again, absolutely enraging John Scott 😂
-the beautiful sight of all the gloves and sticks flung across the ice
-and of course the legendary commentators who were just as excited as the rest of us to witness this mayhem 😂
The entire thing is just hilarious and feels like some good old classic hockey. Have rewatched this line brawl so many times over the last 10 years.
