This team is soft only once since 1940 have the Rangers franchise had a physical team and that was 1994, remember tough guys like McTavish who never wore a helmet? this 2024 team is soft, no physicality at all, lacking size, this team is built to pile up points in the regular season, they are not built to win a cup, the core of this team is not physical at all stop with the 1994 comparisons because this team is nowhere near that team, and there is no Messier on the roster, what a joke of a performance that was at home last night

There's a lot of blame that can go around but what is glaringly obvious in Panarin is not a player. It's not just that come the playoffs and crunchtime, he becomes useless. He becomes an actual liability. He can never score and chokes in every other aspect of the game. Good players perform in the playoffs. He can't.

Igor has played heroic, but many of the top rangers are soft and undisciplined and simply can't hang with the cats. He deserves better. 🤦♂️💔

Mika, Panarin and Trouba should all be embarrassed. They are leaders on this team, paid millions of dollars to preform well. Year after year they disappear in the playoffs.
Lafreniere and trocheck are our only top 6 that can play against these guys….. they have grit in their game. Kreider, Mika, bread all having issues playing against Florida’s physicality. Also, I wish we can just play fox, lindgren, and Schneider all game. Trouba, miller, and gusthave no clue how to defend. Simple as that.
Remember one thing: kreiders hat trick against Carolina was handed to him. He only had to stay in front of the net. The puck was fed to him. Not enough fans admit that he sucks. He does not win one board battle, has no clue what to do with the puck if it is above the dots. And his boyfriend Mika tries hard but he is asked to do too much cause kreider and whoever the other winger is does not go into the corners !
We didn’t need Kane or tarasenko last year, not for the money we paid, and this year drury went for bargain bin depth. Neither strategy worked, this off season the axe is coming and this team won’t be the same for sure

Bro that Gustaf penalty was not valid, discipline bruh no reaction is the best reaction. A lot of the struggle has been the Rags not feeling comfy with the space they have and the heavy pressure in 5v5 hockey, 5v3 lets them cook
The team is what they are. A finesse team and it doesnt translate to playoff hockey. The Panthers were the team I was most afraid of due to way they play playoff hockey all year. The Rangers need to build a team more like that. May finish lower in regular season but will be more equipped for playoffs. Also, some of the stars we have cant carry things from regular season to playoffs and that needs to be looked at. Finally, I agree with quotes on 4th line, they should be rolled out all game long.
If only the Rangers had a team of people from this comments section; they’d win the cup every year.

Welp this season is over I hope they trade Mika and panarin they suck so bad in the playoffs and I’m not sure if the coach will be here or not tbh may as well re build again this team is so soft and Mika is trash so so so bad

It would help if Panarin contributed literally ANYTHING on his shifts. Any time I focus on him while he’s on the ice, he’s just coasting, loafing, standing straight up, putting zero effort in to win a race or a battle. Like, dude is an ENTIRELY different human being in the post-season.
He’s a -8 right now. Actual dog water performance. Pretty sure Bobrovsky has more points than he does, and he’s not allowed to leave the paint. My old man and I joke that someone paid him off to just give up, because that’s what it looks like. 🤷🏻♂️
You know who isn’t a -8, though? Literally any of the healthy scratches that could replace the loafer (bread pun, maybe?…), and would put infinitely more effort in.
