   Even powers himself said in the article that he doesn’t think this will happen, but they have had internal conversations about picking him with number two.

   It’s probably just a welcome break from the constant discourse about Levshunov and Demidov. Dude sounds like he could be a great player and some scouts think he projects as a no. 1 defenseman, but there’s some concerns about the offense.

   Just take the best player available and that’s it.

   All things being equal, I think Silayev is second best prospect. People always get caught up in ceiling but players with extremely high floor are much more likely to reach ceiling and possibly surprise with being even better than thought. He is a huge guy that skates well that is performing awesome in a high pro league. If Blackhawks think Korchinski is a clear PP1 type defenseman, adding Silayev to Jones and Vlasic is a strong defensive core.

   With that said we need some elite forward scoring as the non-Bedard guys look varying levels middle six quality but are more well rounded than scorers. If we end up with Demidov, we really got to find a couple strong PWF type wings that can potentially goals
