I’m not sure that 3rd guy has ever actually watched a Panthers game.
If the NHL were to rig anything it would be in favor of the Rangers not the Panthers. They would get much better ratings in the Finals with a New York team. That won’t stop these morons from pushing conspiracies about our success rather than just accepting we are really good though. You can’t cheat or fluke your way to two back to back deep playoff runs
It’s so funny to me that we went from irrelevant to playoff contenders but still irrelevant to everyone rooting for us when we beat Boston last year to being probably the most hated team in the league. I have to think the narrative changed when we played the Leafs. And then everyone just jumped on the Leafs fan narrative of the Panthers being dirty talentless losers. I have to think the people who see us that way have only started watching hockey in the last couple years. They are so shook about our physical style. The irony is the Lightning and Bruins fans saying we’re dirty when those teams have played physical and dirty for so long. I mean you could make a long ass highlight reel of past Bruins plays that are absolutely insane arguably intent to kill someone at times. Imagine r/hockey fans now living through the times of the Lucic vs. Miller hit or the murder of Max Paccioretty. They would go into a coma.

Oh boy.
The NHL – like the NFL, NBA, and other leagues – gets their bread buttered by certain markets. Those markets tend to get favorable treatment, not the minor ones they ostensible wish to grow.
I don’t understand how this makes any logical sense anyway. We are not destroying teams with our PP.. we are destroying them defensively in the neutral zone and on our blue line. Our 5v5 has been the main driver on offense and how is that something the refs have any control over? I’m all for conspiracy theories as long as they can be well thought out and actually make you think. These are just whiny bitch posts.
