@Stars de Dallas

There is still a chance, but our boys absolutely seem gassed.
    Go Stars ⭐️ finish well!
    One shift at a time.

  2. I think yall are underestimating knoblar. He has been an excellent coach and a big reason for the star's frustrations imo. He wasn't afraid to shake things up and Dallas has struggled to respond

  3. Im not going to be down on the stars here.. they just need to play like they've got nothing to lose. Just go after it. Trust your game forget about what they're doing and just fire everything at the net. The oilers deserve all their credit. Awesome team. We go down with the ship, its been one heck of a season and im a proud stars fan either way. Its not over until its over.

  4. Why do you all sound losing hope? It’s not over. It’s not over yet. Oilers lost game 5 last series but won game 6 and 7.

  5. As an Oiler fan in Edmonton, I'll hand it to the Stars and Dallas in general, this is a classy franchise, and this podcast is amongst the best I've heard for unbiased analysis from a team channel. Good job Joey.

  6. Let me start off by saying that I’m an Oilers fan. I just want to commend both teams for their effort. The ups and downs, rollercoaster of emotions, swing of momentum in this series, has been spectacular. We won’t find out the true extent of the injuries ailing both sides til after the series/season is over, but it’s the best hockey I’ve watched in a long time.

  7. Oiler fan here. Knowledgeable hockey commentary about the game. This is my goto webcast for the other perspective. Good job

  8. Every single analyst on every single channel called the Stars to win because of their depth. Not one of them mentioned Oilers tied the second place record for wins in a row. That's depth. People calling for Stars sweep, now hopeful for Stars in seven. Thank you Stars for taking care of the cheating and exploiting loopholes blatantly Vegas Leaden Knights

  9. Not a bad start but that first PP for them changed the momentum. No excuses, but didn't like the call at all. Then we toss the puck over the glass and they capitalize on another one. Oilers PP is the best in the league. It was a matter of time before they would show why. After that, they were able to ratchet up the defense more, less emphasis on their fast moving offense, and close out the game. I think having Smith out for two games was a mistake. Ty was not in a good place defensively on that first PP goal. I hate to say it, but Joe has looked really slow the whole series so some younger talent there may have helped and not having Hintz for the first double ot loss was brutal too. Let's get one more on the road and bring it back for a classic game 7.

  10. This is by far the less stressful series to watch. It’s a clean and balanced with talent and skill. Dallas you are good team but Oilers have come back from the dead to play like playoff hockey since November.

  11. If you're a fan its a crap reason but Stars had to go through Vegas and the Avs. The OT games. They look worn out. The old guys look old. You saw it when they went up 2-0 in game 4 and thought they could just sit on it. The Oilers had the easier run, they look like they've gotten healthier as odd as that seems and they've hit their stride. The Stars were the better team going into the playoffs but they're definitely not now. Ottenger is going to have to steal 2 games for them to win it and he's looked mediocre at times. When the Stars couldn't score on a 4 PP in OT in game 1 I thought, damn, that's the series.

  12. The Stars were made to be the cup favorites long before they had proved anything. The playoffs are a different animal.

  13. Avs fan in Dallas * Stars almost look like they are playing like how the Avs played in the series against the Stars in round 2. Avs were so very lucky to win game 1 of that series.

  14. Your podcast is excellent. You call it how it is and that’s refreshing. It’s nice to listen to someone who’s not a complete and total homer for once. As an Oiler fan the momentum is in Edmonton’s favour but the series is far from over. Dallas is an excellent hockey team.

  15. The Stars looked out of gas and the Oilers looked like the better team. They finally scored a goal from Wyatt Johnson but it was too little too late with 5 minutes left in the third period. Ryan Suter committed an illegal check puts Oilers on the power play, a few self inflicted mistakes by the team. The Oilers power play seems to work together with their defense also we gave them way too much space. Once the score became 3 to 0 I knew it was going to be impossible or very difficult for the Stars to come back. Some of the veterans are too old it didn’t look like they showed up at all. Chris Tanev was gutting it out because he didn’t look 100 percent. It seems like an addition needs to happen to get them over the hump of the western conference final because this is the second time they’ve reached it. I’m not saying they can’t win two in a row but they’re gonna have to fight hard for it. I feel like they didn’t test Skinner very much, they need to fire 🔥 the fuck at him more only 6 shots on goal in the second period they got outplayed in every way.

  16. Damn dude, you are a fucking polished orator. really impressed. will watch you again in the future.

  17. Last night Dallas looked like they did in the Vegas series last year…absolutely out of gas. This is VERY difficult to say but Pavelski has had a rough playoff run and he may have benefitted the team more in the suite.

  18. Very good observations. Very impressed with this team & their fans. Teams are very similar in their play. So nice to watch 2 clean playing teams who just play with hockey talent & leave out the dirty stuff that Vegas, L.A. & Vancouver give. Credit too to the Dallas fans. Class act!

  19. It's not over. It will come down to whether or not Skinner can shut the door when the inevitable screw up happens in front of him.

This should quiet the "Dallas is too deep for Edmonton" so-called 'experts'.

  20. It took 55 seconds for him to say a single word about the games don’t even know what it was. I literally was watching the clock.

  21. Huge Oilers fan here. I have so much respect for Dallas. They are a true class act of a franchise and team. This has been one hell of a series.

  22. Everyone saying the oilers have depth now outta no where I thought it was just mcdavo and Leon

  23. Hey just heard up here on Canada tv that the stars are the 20th most popular team in Texas…is this true my Texas dudes?? Say it ain't so..

  24. First cross check was fine on Suter. It was the 2nd and 3rd shot when he was on his knees that drew the roughing call. Can’t do that. Legit call IMO.

  25. I do not think we will prevail in this series, but i certainly would not put it past us. It all caught up to us the past two games. We are an old-ish team, and looking like it. We've lost our edge. Not sure why it's so infuriating to people. We deserve to be here, and we have once again pushed expectations to a new level. If we win the next two by some miracle (Edmonton could very well shit the bed themselves), it will be amazing, but this team isn't likely to beat Florida right now imho, so enjoy this run while it lasts and for what it is 🙂

  26. The lack of effort is the problem. A home game in a 2-2 series should be a pretty exciting game to play in. Not for these guys.

  27. I think the first 2 series wore the Stars down, they look like a completely different team the last 2 games.

I hate to say it but Pavelski looks way too slow out there and Suter is back to being Suter.

Respect to the Oilers for bringing their A game, Skinner is playing well too.

I liked seeing DeBoer get heated in his press conference, the Stars need to step it up. Series isn’t over, let’s go Stars!
