None of this has a name coming back, people just saying "trade them" and there is zero context. Basically generating talk out of nothing. If it makes sense for the team then any one of the players will be gone.

Sam Pollock was arguably the best GM of all time building a dynasty with the Habs in the 70's. His method was to also sell high. If a player had a career year, he'd often deal them away for draft picks and players. Example: If a player was a solid 3rd line winger and one year he put up big numbers, he'd get dealt away. That's how you build a successful team. If Allvin does the same thing he will build a dynasty in Vancouver. It's even more important with a salary cap.
No one likes SportsNet. Rogers is the CCP of sports shoved down our throats. I prefer ESPN. I do really enjoy the hockey night in Canada intermissions. SportsNet is a waste of taxpayers dollars. Defund SportNet and break up Rogers.

Hoglander and Garland are similar players in several ways – small, fast, has some pop, and has a motor that runs non-stop. They are the type of players you love to cheer for, but if we are completely objective here, having two of them is not necessarily the best thing to give the team playoff success. So as much as I like both, if the return is helpful to the team, I would not hesitate to trade one of them away.
As for Boeser, I think there is still room for this guy to improve further. He is also an integral part of the dressing room and the culture of this team. Trading Boeser away, no matter for what return, will have a significant detrimental effect to the spirit of the team, not to mention that, in the playoffs, he and Miller were really the only two performers who scored. That's a hard NO for me.
Boesser is a player that coasts and defence is questionable he's a hot commodity now cooling as we speak don't forget it was a contract year this year ! That pattern is concerning imo

The NHL is just treating the Canucks the same way the NBA treats the Raptors. They don't care about the team or logical analysis, they just want to rumor about players leaving to the NHL's preferred teams until they speak it into existence.
If it comes down to the two of them, trade Hoglander, try to get Toffoli and then you have JT with Brock on the top line, Petey and Toffoli on the 2nd line. Third line stays intact if we can re-sign Joshua and 4th line use to develop Lekkermaki to eventually take a spot on the second line.
If we expect to make the playoffs then I'd favour trading Hogs as i think the Nucks showed they're just to small. He's a good reg season guy. Same with Garland.

Selling Hogs makes zero sense whatsoever. Only 23 and one of the few bargains on this team. He will become a Nylander lite, book it. Aren’t you all sick of trading away young guys without ever giving them a chance to develop? See McCann, Forsling, etc
