More emotional than I thought it would be.
Like I said last night, seeing Barkov pull Okposo to the middle to be closest to the trophy. Tkachuk pull Bob in the front as well, that all made me emotional.
I think deep down, we all expected another finals trip after last year and seeing how locked in the entire team has been since game 1 of the season. And PoMo saying how he hasn’t had to « teach » anybody to play with grit and a mean streak, they’ve all developed it on their own. Even the new guys like Mikkola, Stenlund, ERod, etc. They just came in and immediately played with a chip on their shoulder and fit in perfectly.
This team is way different than last year’s, even with the roster being 85% the same. They are in control instead of just riding the flow and we have a real chance to take it home.

I remember June of 1996 all of SoFla was buzzing like we’d already won it… »u know we’re gonna win the Cup now blah blah » smh then the Hockey Gods taught us a lesson.
ik this is success we’re not used to and we wanna feel all good n shit but for the love of the Hockey Gods we still have 4 MORE WINS TO SECURE.
THEN….and only then. shall we have earned that which we all know is rightfully ours.
