  1. So – Who wins the cup? Florida or Edmonton?

Expect a Stanley Cup Preview this week diving in on both teams!

Also – thank you all for watching & supporting the channel. These playoffs have been a blast to cover!

  2. I still think they should make a hologram of Stan Lee to hand off the Stanley Cup, with the event sponsorship from Stanley tools.

Just to see people's heads explode.

  3. After that first goal from McDavid went in Dallas had no chance. There was too much momentum and good energy on the Oilers' side.

  4. Heiske was not so much puck watching.. as trying to angle his skates to block a pass to
Hyman – which he did. The puck watching is something that Nurse/Bouchard and some others; McLeod etc like to do .. and did later in the game.

  5. The fact that they were outshot 3 to 1 and still won the game says a lot about both the goaltending and the defense. I have seen Stanley Cups won before with teams using this strategy. It is usually hard to score goals in playoff games, so the strategy is not "who scores the most goals wins", but "who scores the least goals loses".

  6. I, like many, really didn't think Skinner would be able to get us to this point… Holy shit, were we ever wrong. He's gotta come out with that same focus against Florida and the team can take care of the rest.

Vinny will have to get back in, but only if he's come to the realization that he needs to play the body WAY more, that's a must. Kane and Perry gotta do what they do and Connor and Leon need to shine, chase the turtle out of Florida too.

    1 week stress free… I'll enjoy it.

  7. I had a dream the other night and Mcdavid hoisted the cup…..was born in Edmonton and its always been one of my favorite teams!! Oilers will bring The Cup home!!

  8. NHL employees refs, refs call penalties, penalties result in power plays, power plays result in goals, goals win games, winning games wins the cup, Edmonton wins because of this, the NHL wants Edmonton to win the Cup.

  9. Awesome breakdown! It is actually embarassing that all those well paid pundits and 'analysts' on SN, TNT and the likes never have anything insightful to offer, other than the usual "It's all about attention to detail" or some other cliché. Instead channels like yours do the hard work and provide some actual analysis.

  10. That sounds familiar. . .Oh yeah. Florida Panthers last year. And yes, it's impressive that the Oilers battled hard to get here, but, THEY were the number 2 in their division, 5th in the Western Conference coming into this run. Florida Panthers were the bottom of the barrel last year. The Panthers only got in because the Penguins lost their game that WOULD have put them in. The Panthers were the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference and made it all the way to the Cup. THAT is impressive.

  11. Vancouver: comeback kings by making wild comebacks in the 3rd period
Edmonton: comeback grandmasters by turning their season around and also Skinner, who looked terrible in the series against Vancouver, is now looking amazing. Probably something else too.

  12. It’s time for people to admit that goaltending was never the issue with the Oilers. They they needed to learn defensive systems so they wouldn’t give up horrible high risk chances.

  13. My first thought after McDavids toe drag goal, after I picked my jaw up and shoved my eyes back in their sockets, was, “I can’t wait to see HP break this down.”
    Awesome awesome video as always.

  14. McDavid is on a mission He's playing selfish..not shy,which is good.
Oilers have 6 guys who can actually score..thats a lot.
    Toronto had 2½.
So I reckon with Skinner on form they may just swing it.
If the coach is listening let Skinner rest the first two games..bring him in later. And play the 3rd lines to tire out the Panthers

  15. yeah all that being said, lets go panthers. keep the cup where it belongs, in the united states

  16. As much as I wished for this to be a repeat of 2006, with the hurricanes vs oilers, I’m still happy that the oilers made it and the rangers didn’t

  17. I’m hindsight, the 2-9-1 is maybe the best thing that could’ve happened to Edmonton and is a huge factor in how they’re here

  18. I didnt realize it was the Cup Finals already, havent been following the Oil as much, too much going on kt life but i am glad to see theyre making another trip to the big one. 😎

  19. after the comeback to the finals, dealing with all the goalies and high powered offenses, and not going to a single game 7 in the post season with little/no injury. AS LONG AS bob plays even decent, florida has it so locked down its not even funny.

  20. NHL is rigged everyone !!! Dallas has so much more depth All Dallas had to do was take the body , they were told that its Mc Davids year as its not good for the NHL to see the best player in the world so frustrated

  21. I was one of the ones that wrote off the Oilers early on, I honestly didn't see them recovering mentally from that start. I was wrong and they look incredibly strong mentally and physically steamrolling into the Cup finals. Congrats and good luck vs the Panthers!

  22. Edmontons Power Play is the best I've ever seen in 37 years of watching Hockey. It's like a video game. Florida can not take penalties
