Don’t have a dog in the fight just saw this on Twitter and found it interesting. Best offensive forward vs best defensive forward, what’s gonna give?

Hot Take: Draisatl is who you want Barkov checking. Big body, hard to move off the puck, always looking for the passing lanes.

Barkov is the guy that can think the game at the same level and predict where Drai wants to go.

McD is stopped by a team effort. Be physical with him, cut him off, and protect the middle. Man never shoots going outside but will try to cut between the D.

Bennett will take care of Draisatl.

Can be done. Keep him to the outside and let him skate and pirouette super fast then make his slightly too hard inaccurate passes to a less-skilled forward

It’s very doable if it’s a team effort. Canucks held him pointless in 3/7 games. 2 of the games he got points in were a single second assist each game.

So there were 5 games in that series where he totalled just 2 assists, which were secondary assists.

Moving from the starches to the McD’s menu

    yes, he can.

    ….oh yes….he can.

This is the key to the series. If we lock down Oiler’s top line, like we did to the Lightning, Bruins, and Rangers, we have a good chance of taking the cup. Easier said than done, but the formula success is there.

This is why I wanted to Oilers, just for this match up. True best on best.

Still relatively new to Hockey, so what’s the lowdown on this McDavid guy? Is he the face/best player in the league?
