Captain America was a Avs destroyer. (Someone has got to run the stats). I’m so glad I do not have to be scared of that guy anymore

The bad man can’t hurt us anymore.

In all seriousness, mad respect for Pavelski. Not sure how he played at such a high level into his late 30s

Feels like this MF averaged 3PPG against the Avs for every one of his 18 years in the league. Respect for one hell of a career but I’m glad his days of terrorizing us are over

I’m glad he didn’t win a Cup with the Stars, but ultimately it’s sad to see one of the best American players of all time have to throw in the towel having never lifted Lord Stanley. He was an Avs killer, perhaps the most diabolical Avs killer in recent memory, but damn he was a good player and it sucks a little bit to know his name will never be on the Cup as a player.

What an absolute monster he was for so long.

    *Tips hat*

Rest well you son of a bitch. You’ve earned it.

Good career, and he was a helluva player- and a big thorn in our side for the last several years. My only question is why is he not just making it « official official »? His comments have been tap dancing around it, why not just say it instead of this whole « I’m not playing next season. » Just say « I’m retiring, » move on, and enjoy your post-NHL life.

I like Joe Pavelski (On, Wisconsin!), but the Stars can eff all the way off.

I don’t sympathize with Avalanche killers, but he is a great player.

    Fuck that guy.

Also, way to go pavelski. You ain’t no super, your name is Joe, time to go…

Mad respect for Pavs on a fantastic career. It’s a shame he never won a Cup. Definitely needs to retire as a Shark and his number belongs with Jumbo and Marleau in the rafters.

Avs killer. But one I can admire and respect. Amazing career. Ridiculous longevity!

The man was our kryptonite… but it’s very sad that neither him or Zach Parise will see their name on Lord Stanley, at least as players.

They were exceptional representatives of American hockey and I’ll miss seeing both of them on the ice.

Hate when a good player doesn’t get at least 1 cup. Especially after a million years.
