Anyone know who won the Memorial Cup? Shannon talked about the playoffs in every news video during the Tournament but I don't think he ever covered who won.
Pavelski a true class act however the way this has been phrased it would not surprise me of he pulls a Zach Parise or Mike Fischer and joins a team around the trade deadline for one last kick at the can. Also he said next year so that makes me think maybe he wants to be on Team USA 2026. He would be a very good leader for a lot of first time Olympians. He has been twice and whatnot.

I told the wife early into the playoffs that I think this might be the year for Pavelski on the ice. He definitely should stay in the game and I can easily see him coaching one of these days. He loves the young players and loves helping them develop into their true potential. Him taking Johnston under his wing goes a long way to show his dedication to the younger guys. He is a natural leader and very intelligent on and off the ice. Hang up the skates and go grab a few more golf trophies.
I d like to see Pavalski at least come back to play for Dallas in the regular season so he can get to 500 goals, which for him would not be difficult. GMs are getting things primed at the NHL Combine for the fast and furious offseason, in the ever shortening time between the end of the playoffs and free agency. They either need to start the season earlier or push the draft and free agency further from the end of the playoffs so GMs get more time to get things done.

The HG wearing a cursed Dallas Stars jersey, LOL…start now rooting for them, until it is a legit win, that team is CURSED. 25 year silver anniversary of not winning Dallas, LOL. Thank goodness Pavedenski is retiring…he was a tool at SJ and certainly wasn't a Ray Bourque type of deserving player. So many more players more deserving then Pavedenski…He is nothing more then another 18 year veteran player that didn't win a cup. Shouldn't have joined a CURSED team like the Stars.

Pavelski might not be HoF worthy (and no disrespect intended, he was a monster at times) I think him, Jumbo Joe and Patt Marleau should be retired as a line or something. Something special. Those 3 were San Jose along with Burns, Vlasic, Couture and Nabokov. So they were a powerhouse that always seemed to fall to that Cinderella team every playoffs.
I believe Pavelski will get into the HOF, though unlikely on 1st ballot. Great, classy player!

Wonder what it would take the Caps to move up from 17 to 10. Maybe a 3rd rounder and the 17th overall. If there's someone worthy of moving up for I wouldn't even mind moving McMichael, Protas or Lapierre
