  1. Oilers powerplay is gross this playoffs. Oilers will win the cup. I am canucks fan 1st, and i would want to see oilers win for my best friend and labamba slash moss .

  2. To be honest, I wouldn't have cheered for Vancouver if they had moved on.
I can't imagine cheering for a team that isn't mine.

  3. Also, lots of b.c citizens. Have duo homes between edmonton for work and b.c for vacation. Or have family in edmonton . Or work in edmonton cause of the oil fields. So we aint going complain if oilers win.

  4. There is only one Team Canada thats Team Canada going for a gold Edmonton is not team Canada as a hockey fan it gets a little rich listening to media bias

  5. Idk man, living in a small Alberta town, back in 2011 everyone here rallied around the Vancouver Canucks. The bars were full and watch parties were popping up.

  6. I have lived in Vancouver for 35 years but grew up in Edmonton. I saw the dynasty team with my dad many times. I like your videos. Oilers have only a few players who are not Canadian. It is so hard to make it even this far. Hardest championship to win in sports. Can't blame Canuck fans for feeling bad. Will take a huge effort to win tonight and some puck luck. Go Oilers!

  7. Im a Red Wings fan and i wouldn't mind if Edmonton went all the way. Kenny Holland is our former GM.

  8. They will be Canada's team in the final. I don't cheer for any team besides my own, though. I wouldn't celebrate a cup victory for a Canadian team simply because they are Canadian.

  9. The biggest hurdle the Vancouver Canucks have to winning over the rest of Canada is….most of the population of the country is in the east and nobody wants to stay up until 1:00-2:00 am on week day to watch hockey.

Oilers and Flames just barely make the cut because atleast their games finish around midnight EST which massively improves their chances of generating an audience outside of the west.

  10. Edmonton is legitimately Canada's team because they have the highest Canadian content as well as being based in Canada. In 2011, when Vancouver played Boston, the Bruins were mainly Canadians while the Canucks had more Europeans and Americans (oddly enough they also had the only players from B.C. and a team president from Vancouver. Personally, I'm pulling for the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup. It would be sad to see McDavid and Draisaitle not win a cup. For once, the Oilers are contenders because they finally have the whole team chipping in and they are better defensively and the penalty kill – not just McDavid and/or Draisaitle carrying the team.

  11. Majority of the Oilers is Canadian, its in Canada. There doing for the team and teammates and themselfs.. But its history they have a best chance to win the cup. I am Oilers fan and if any Canadian team is in the playoffs or in the position just like the Oilers i would be cheering them on, to me i want the cup home back in Canada and this is huge and Canada and Canadians should be on board with the Oilers cause they have hope and i am believing that hope and have faith in them to answer your Questions yes

  12. Lots of verbal diarrhea being thrown out there…..Flames fans harbor greater disdain for Mr. Tkachuk than the Oilers. Even during the late eighties when the Flames won, both Oiler fans and players/management were supportive. Can't wait for the game to start tonight.

  13. The have the best player the game has seen since Gretzky/Lemieux and also the most Canadian players. I would say Canada wants them to win, take from that what you will.

  14. I was talking to my buddy from Edmonton after they eliminated Vancouver. I told him, I'm cheering for McDavid, but I just don't think they can beat the Stars. I didn't think we could either unless Demko came back and stood on his head. He said, but we beat you to become Canada's team. I made him a deal, if they beat Dallas, I will cheer for them in the Final. Maybe I am a bit salty, but honestly I do want to see a Canadian team lift that cup again. It's been so long.

  15. I don’t think Edmonton is canadas team . I think Edmonton is the team most kids root for because they have the two by far best players . Younger kids love the ducks because Disney and older kids who root for the players when there team stinks go with Edmonton.

  16. I only cheer for Canadian teams I am a fan of. Everyone else I cheer against. I cheer for US based teams based on my favorite players. I know people who will cheer against specific Canadian teams but expect that same fan base cheer for them when theirs is the only Canadian team left in the playoffs. No… it doesn't work that way. It has to be a two-way street.

  17. Nope defenetly not this Canadians team.

    But it is complicated.
I want to see mcdavid get a cup.
I also want the soilers to fail so hard they have to rebuild from.embarrassment.

  18. Who is Canada’s team? The most redundant question on the Internet. Don’t tell me who to cheer for! Go Habs go!

  19. no no no no no no no no no hell no oilers are the worst team in canada worst fanbase
i need to see them lose in 5 or 6 to be happy
i am canadian but i would hate to see oilers win
