Nerd boi analysis from two 12 year old children each weighing in at 118lbs each. #momsbasement
The right side continues to be a shamble…
No consistency
Left side won’t be much different
Good point that Yogi and the clone brothers were here and the PP stagnated anyway in the 2nd half J-Pat, thanks for keeping it real. Pettey blames tendinitis that was never discussed with a doctor (what the …?) for his immobility on the PP, but that is a discussion for another day …
Speaking of cost cutting, Derek Clancey was not replaced, they just hung his Assistant GM tag on Ryan Johnson who was of course already here so the "promotions" of Yogi and the Sedins without adding anybody new already has precedent with this management and ownership. Tocchet said they are looking for a replacement Skills Coach. I'll believe it when I see the press release of the hiring.
JPat is such a bummer guest on here ffs
Great show, not the hilarious takes that were on Monday's show but good hockey content. Good discussion about Lekkerimäki and I like your take on Aatu Räty being a potential fit for the big club because they aren't strong on the wings right now and Räty looked decent on the wing in Abby this season. We need to remember that Pius Suter was hired to be a C and he can do that, try Räty with Miller or Pettey might be a huge win because he's a big boy, will turn 22 early next season so is much more mature than and Lekkerimäki who turns 20 in July and might need at least a year in Abby, and I feel like Räty can handle NHL traffic! Great show, keep having fun and keep up the good work.
Bains needs to take it to the RACK and he did none of that with Canucks in the games he had. I like Ben King from Dave Hall's article today, junior partner of Bains and a big body at the C position, think Canucks should seriously consider adding this fellow to the program this summer. I see Nils Åman being a looong shot to be an NHL player but he's still youngish so there is chance he can slot into the Teddy Blueger role in a couple years I suppose, has the wheels but he needs to bulk up and win some draws like you say Harm.
I like Jpat but when he goes on these long run-on sentence takes abt the Canucks, he can't help himself from taking odd shots at them abt things nobody else finds concerning at all. No one wants him to be a homer like Luke 😂 but man rein it in. We get it! Their power play sucked and jpat already trying to drum up controversy. Not buying it now, will wait for the new season
