Everything has to be on the table. This team only has 3-4 untouchables in my opinion. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a huge deal in the works.
This same team can’t run it back buy out Trouba open up the cap space
Bro this team is very fragile. They are not willing to make moves and be brave that will clearly improve the team. Meaning Drury Mainly.
Running it back Is a terrible idea that won't get us any closer to a cup, Drury needs to become a magician and retool this Core. Trouba (Buy out), Lindgren, (trade), and Kreider (trade) should be on their way out.
I would not be shocked if he moves Breadman
It's easier to deal the core in the off season rather than at the trade deadline but we'll see
The one thing that leads me to believe he will make a change to the core is that core were all Jeff Gorton's guys.

Pulse of my fandom: They need a guy like Bertuzzi would be a great fit, also Marchesault would be a nice add to the top 6. A total rebranding of the bottom 6 is very much needed as well.
They have to make changes if they want the Cup. Get guys in here who would do anything to win and get the dead weight out, even if it means going to them and requesting an NMC waver. I hated the news about Trouba's injury because that was an excuse. He was terrible before the injury happened and he has to go.
Panarin, Mika and Kreider all have value but replacements must be worth any of these trades. Trouba has to go. Kakko might need another year, but… if there is interest.

drury gave the only answer he could. he needs to talk up the players as much as he can to maximize their value. as far as trouba goes, he played on a broken ankle for last part of the season. hard to know about him. the rangers are a great team. they're just not the greatest. drury can't destroy all that is good. but i have faith in him. agree with you about a big tough guy in the top six.

core i beleive is still good enough, other top teams don't have an issue with rw1. fact is we need a rw2, cause lets be honest panarin line is their top line. if you look at it that way cost may go down. defense issue with advancing the puck was a major issue. bye to trouba and linfren. need to sign schneider.. whoever fills the rw position needs to be a power forward not a perimeter flashy guy

This team failed again everyone , except for Igor , Trocheck and Laffy if the right trade is available do it. Even if it’s for one of the above mentioned do it.
If the Rangers keep Kakko, then in my opinion put him on the line with Panarin and Trochek, then move Laf on the 1st line. Kakko hasn't had much talent to play with after the kid line.
The bottom line is Trouba and Miller are horrible against good pressing teams. Trouba has no idea who his man is (example: Bennett’s goal in the last game, Trouba tried to hit the man without the puck as they skated across the blue line) and Miller is always caught out of position. Igor wanted to skate over to Trouba and rip the C off his sweater. The Rangers should have kept Brady Skjei … even with the lack of scoring the Rangers could have won if they played solid defense. This is what drury should and is gonna do find a trade for Trouba kakko gone lindgren hopefully gone unless he takes a team friendly deal or discount and have him as 3rd pair PK guy sign Stamkos trade for chychrun somehow and maybe wait for deadline to trade chytil after he gets his value back up for a real 3C the rangers need another real top RW need a lefty top Defenseman to play with fox and the deadline will cover the 3C issue cuz I think chytil needs to go eventually too there’s enough soft players in the top core group guys like Chytil kakko ain’t gonna cut it also I don’t think miller getting traded is likely but even he I think is on the table if a good return comes back
They need to get at least 2 forwards that have been good in the playoffs, not only 1!!

Well Drury takes a hit here…The guys he brought in at the deadline were soft and did not get them over the top…Wasted assets…Proof being neither Wennberg or Roslovic will be back.
Evan I think it's basically same situation as last yr! what moves are possible? Same vid u did last yr I remember saying "this is the team, of course they will be minor changes"- I feel exactly same. I'm not a guentzel fan, but deadline HAD TO get Vatrano – he didn't want to pay up!
From what I saw in this year's playoffs, I think we should:
Cut/get rid of Trouba and Kakko and target Jonathan Marchessault, Tyler Bertuzzi and Brett Pesce
Here's the deal Panarin has to go. He is not built for the playoffs this is his second year in a row where he completely went to sleep. Dude didn't have a goal since game 3 of the Carolina series. And when you get into an Eastern conference final where the difference between winning and losing is splitting hairs he's supposed to be that difference and he zeroed out. He made changes to his game which were great in the regular season but the NHL is about the second season. When your top goal scorer who was one of the league leaders too, can't put one goal on the board in 9 straight all the way up to the Eastern conference finals and is on his second straight play off no show, it's time to move on. And you can get some great value for him too. I say do it.

Just to name a few
They need more of a system. They need to be able to counteract a team that forecheck as well as Florida. They need defensemen who dont give away the puck in front of Igor and who can move the puck to forwards for breakaways when a team like the Panthers commits to the forecheck. They lolligagged when Flordia dumped the puck and waited while 2 forwards banged the defenseman around and then centered the puck for a lightening fast scoring oppurtunity. There were no adjustments. Each team plays a different style. You have to adjust a bit if your game plan sucks and isnt working.
Everyone lost their crap at this loss.
Think about how long it takes to get near the top of the mountain then the summit.
75 Islanders took until 1980 to win.
1980 Oilers took until 1984 to win.
Mario’s Pens 84- then won in 91.
91- Rangers then took until 94.
Devils with there great run in 88’ took until 1995.
The 2015 Lightning who I was convinced was going to beat the Hawks in the cup took until 2020.
Let’s not be stupid, impatient and , impulsive over this.
Remember last year , we Rangers fans whimpered, “oh oh we need to to get faster then the Devils “, as if we’re doomed. How’d that work out for the Devils this year even after getting Tiffoli. Trading Lindgren is a bad idea. Let’s address the RW issue 1st. There defense is young. Keep it around for sure . The Trouba thing is intriguing starting with the captaincy. I know he’s not Buekaboom or Stevens. But at times shows he can be a wrecking ball. The way they lost to Tampa and the way they lost to Florida were mirror images staring at themselves. Kakko has a bit of that Jan Erixxon and Jesper Fast in him so keep him!!! They will be back next year. They need a Claude Lemiuex type, or Stephanie Richer type, or the guy John —- who played with Lindros and Renberg, and a Graves type. That might shore up there issues up front. And better back checking wouldn’t hurt either.
Overall it's a good team. It needs just a few changes to match play off style hockey.
