  1. Pay attention to the USPHL league Boston Junior Bruins Premier team there’s a 17 y/o kid playing for them this year. Kid is gonna have a big year Kaden Powell

  2. hes getting 10m+ next summer no matter how much he plays or not lol marner gonna honor his final year and leafs get nothing next summer

  3. Yeti meh. I can hear the announcer now Here are your Utah Yeti. It doesn't jive. Mammoth ok.

  4. I understand that teams are reluctant to make intra divisional trades but I would like to see Marner go to Montreal for Slafkosky and Xhekaj. Slafkosky is improving nicely and was a first overall pick in the draft. Hamilton’s Xhekaj is developing as a steady puck moving defender who makes excellent passes to exit the zone. Moreover other players tend to play better with him in the lineup as he is definitely not shy about protecting his teammates and therefore inhibits other teams from taking advantage . Both these players are younger than Mitch and the potential is exciting.

  5. You are wrong. No team in the NHL is going to shit on a star player. The idea is to make the playoffs and you need everyone to do that. Especially a star player who plays so well in the regular season. It just shows that all you are is a fanboy who knows nothing about hockey.

  6. The full NMC the Leafs have to deal with now was not Dubas' fault… He's not off the hook, but only deserves minority blame. Dubas, by all accounts, was open to dealing Marner before the full NMC kicked in last summer but was fired before he had a chance to do so because Shanny powertripped and wanted to stay the course. A year later, he was proven right and now it is too late. The most likely outcome at this point is Marner walks in free agency as probably the second best (regular season) player in the cap era to do so with the Leafs completely botching this, recouping zero assets. That is systemic incompetency.

  7. Matthews, Nylander and Tavares also do crap in important games. GWG in the playoffs…Matthews 5, Marner 3, Nylander 3. Tavares' contract is up next year. By waiting a year, you don't lose a 99pt winger who is a Selke finalist and you get 11M in cap space to address D, goaltending or whatever you need up front. This year Brodie's 5.5M comes off the books as does Bertuzzi's 5M. A healthy McMann can replace Bertuzzi's 1 playoff goal in 7 games for 1.3M. Dumping Marner would be an emotional, irrational, knee-jerk move. That's no way to manage a pro hockey team. Good thing fans aren't GMs.

  8. Guentzel is not going to Chicago. They won't be in the playoffs for several years, and he wants to play on a Stanley Cup contender.
