This tournament is supposed to be NHL’s “warm up” for its players going back to the Olympics in 2026. Also this is 1step into trying to get a normal Olympics and World Cup of Hockey schedule going.
This is an NHL tournament so it will be NHL hockey with 23 man teams of only NHL contracted players.
I believe this is also the nhl “all-star game” for 24-25 season.
