If we lay the body again Game 2 and take the W we will be in an insanely great spot for the series. Go Cats!

Looks like Edmonton had a recipe to counter our forecheck by hanging two players at our blue line at all times, we definitely struggled against it, but also capitalized on it and managed to bury the chances it offered us.

All in all, we were learning real time and still had the game in hand (while not completely “in control”) I’m feeling good that we will be able to keep bringing the heat and force Edmonton to bend or break.

    Let’s fucking go cats!

A lot of chatter from the Edmonton subreddit about analytics favoring the oilers bc of high danger chances. (Which is true) but you know who else had a lot of high danger chances that went away over the course of the series? The rangers.

Man, having the chance to browse all the socials, these edmonton fans are drinking the same kool-aid as the dipstick broadcast announcers. « We were the better team, except for bob » « Our defense was better, except for the 3 goals » « We had them work for it the whole 60 minutes, except our lines sucked. » Absolutely not humility anywhere by these clowns.

    Lots of

« BOB is the only reason they won tonight ».

Well, we don’t have a McJesus, so get fucked.

And how many power plays did they have? Constant no calls on Edmonton. You can’t tell me that shits not rigged.

I hope someday we are the team the announcers are drooling over. That would be cool.

  15. ABC sucks. Screen was freezing every 10 seconds for one second. Please fix it. Only happens on ABC. GO CATS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought I’d be the only Panthers fan out and about in Denver but I was pleasantly surprised by 5 or 6 others in Panthers gear. Handful of Oilers fans but a lot of neutrals/Avs fans cheering when the Panthers scored.

    Go Cats.

I feel like the Panthers have almost driven Messier to tears multiple times this post-season.

Stoked on the win for sure. Cats looked a little cautious and not skating down hill like they normally do, but they’ll get the feel on how to whomp these boys. Cats in 5

This game has shown that all the online talk about how Panthers and Oilers depth was similar was totally off point. Maurice continued to switch out lines throughout the third period while Draisatl and McDavid had to play large chunks. If your team has to do that, you do not have great depth. I was laughing multiple times during the game where they were praising McDavid and Draisatl while their line was getting held up by Lundell’s line.
