This game had me feeling like its going to be 32+ years till Canada gets a Stanley Cup. Edmonton did almost everything right and lost 0-3. Bob is the clear advantage and X-Factor on a very even matchup. Skinner probably isnt capable of putting up a game where he's going to will this team to a win, but Bob clearly can.

As an oiler fan i am still optimistic after this one. Bobrovsky was brilliant but i also think that if the oilers keep up the level they showed in this game they will win. There is a never a good time to lose a game but if you going to get goalied then its probably best to have it in game 1 than game 6 or 7. Plenty of hockey left in this series. Oilers do need to win game 2 now.

Barkov really showed why he's the best player in the world in this game. Beautiful pass for the winning goal, and so many brilliant defensive plays. He's inevitable.

Don't care what anyone says. Nurse is overrated and way overpaid.
As an Oilers fan not worried and Bob had a great game but he still made some mistakes that if the Oilers burred them different outcome. Like some said it all came down to puck luck and the Oilers had none of that. And any Oilers fan who says either goal was Skinner is a bad Oilers fan.

The thing about the Oilers MO of try to play even 5v5 and dominate special teams does work if the special teams are dominant; however, when they are not its an issue. Both the Lightning and the Rangers have a similar style and it failed against Flordia. They could wake up like they did vs Dallas we will have to wait and see.
I think Paul Maurice will have the Panthers flying tomorrow. Oilers missed a great opportunity to snag a win on Florida ice
Why the mention of Dallas? Yeah, Skinner stole game 6. Everyone knew it. Everyone said it. But the Oilers still outplayed Dallas in the series. There's no guarantees, of course, but if the Oilers are dominating, they are more likely to win…just like they did 3 times. But anything can happen. Goalies get hot…
Crazy thing is Tchukuk hasn’t been the star as last year but the team is playing like a machine.
What happened last year? It seemed like Gary Bettman's Golden Knights easily solved Bobrovsky. Panthers seem much stronger this year.
The way to fluster Bobrovsky, is to get traffic in front of him, NON STOP! If the Panthers take exception they'll draw penalties. Then camp out in front on the PP. Get all in his face!
The Canucks won 2 of the 3 meetings vs.Florida this season, and Edmonton beat them in 7, so don't think the Oilers are a pushover. They outshot them 2 to 1, in the game. You don't lose many games when you outshoot your opponent by that margin.
It's seriously looking like Canada will have another team in the finals that comes up dry and not win the cup lol. As a Canadian, I don't have a REALLY strong preference but I'm still cheering for Florida in this series. Go Panthers!
The Oilers played better for 2 periods but as I've said, goaltending will be the difference. Skinny didn't play bad, it's just that Bob played better and that won't fare well for the Oilers. The Panthers played their worst game and still shut you out so how does that play out when the Panthers play their regular game? The Oilers are in trouble.
