    Im sorry? I don’t follow?

Aren’t all our new hires supposed to be bald?

Interesting move. Krog doesn’t have much in the way of professional coaching experience at all, he’s primarily been the coach of BWC teams and a bit in Simon Fraser but he had a lot of professional experience as a player both in North America and overseas. He’s also a BC native from Fernie and an ex-Canuck having played 4 games in 2008-09 where he was notably a teammate of Ryan Johnson and obviously the Sedins.

goddamn this actually gave me flashbacks to when i was 10 years old, asking my dad why jason krog isnt a beast when he had 100 points in the AHL

Former Canuck legend BC boy Jason Krog? Goal-scorer against Edmonton? Player of 4 games?

Love that the Canucks somehow find former players to join the organization no matter how obscure lol

Still remember he was an all-star in Manitoba Moose. Was great for the prospects, but never able to make the big show. Hopefully he can guide our guys

Krog is a great name. Orcish. KROG SMASH (your expectations for skills and skating coaching out of the water)

  7. You can’t sign a new skills and skating coach without releasing a highlight reel! Let’s see it!

  8. Jason Krog was an absolute *beast* at the AHL level for a time. He won the scoring title in 2006 by 24 points.

Unfortunately he could never quite put it together at the NHL level. One of those classic “way too good for the AHL, not quite good enough for the NHL” guys.

He was also victim of the waiver and re-entry waiver rules in effect for a lot of his peak years, where teams were reluctant to call up experienced AHL stars.

Didn’t he win a Calder cup with the Wolves in ‘08?

  10. Get Darren Haydar too. Perennial AHL all stars. Didn’t they try Krog with the Sedins for a game. Around the time Shirokov also slotted in that spot

  11. This guy is on my roster in NHL 2k7… he was super fast and speedy and good on face offs. That was about it. Let’s see how he is as a coach?

Man, there was so a time when the CDC message board was convinced this guy was the next Gretzky

Won the Hobey Baker in college. The guy knows his hockey. Good ole Fernie boy. Crush it Krogy!
