Saginaw runs a system where they allow their top offensive D to free wheel. Mintyukov free wheeled and had coverage issues in his own zone. I think he will take some time to adapt to roving less but he will be electric in the league. Another year of junior will force him to round out his game. Less pressure on him now that he has a Memorial Cup, Saginaw will care less about wins
Flyers need a future 1C BAD. They should be looking at Zegras or trying to move up for Cayden Lidstrom. Briere needs to win a trade after getting FLEECED by Anaheim. Drysdale has missed like 70%+ of the games in his career so far. The fact that Zegras isn't a Flyer and we have another hospital bed on the blue line is just appalling. 🤦🏻♂️🤡💩
Plus Zegras may be open to Philadelphia considering his injury riddled best friend is now a Flyer that management is DETERMINED to make work because of the vast overpayment for him.
And this trade is just STARTING to show how truly ugly it will probably look within a few years.
If your not gonna get elite talent through the top of the draft you have to actually make bold moves and have the CAP space to make trades for ACTUAL talent and free market signings. Eichel is just another of the MANY players The Flyers 💩 the bed on.
