  1. I live in TX but grew up US military playing hockey in Ontario Canada and then continued when we moved south to Minnesota where I was a North Stars fan before moving more south and have been a devout Dallas stars fan from their move from Minnesota. I was so excited about watching this game until I saw that legendary Marc-Andre Fleury was Las Vegas' goalie with three Stanley cup wins under his belt. I didn't even know that he'd been traded since last year but he made 45 saves? Yep, he's that good! Also James Neil who started on the Dallas Stars scored the only 2 goals and he's just nine weeks out of hand surgery. I'm sorry that Dallas lost and really deserved to win but I was so happy that this brand new NHL franchise (first national sports team for LV) won this game. The starting and nobody kneeling during our national anthem? This is why I watch the NHL. I hope their first win brings some type of healing to their city and I think a lot of other Americans feel this way too. Great game and congratulation to the entire city of Las Vegas. Viva Las Vegas and good luck this year guys!!

  2. A nice tribute but the section for the Vegas mass shooting should have been longer than the rest of the video.

  3. From Toronto: Welcome to the NHL, Las Vegas. We may see rivalry and even indifference in sports but Canada loves you something fierce. Go G-knights!

  4. Lame. these guys arent heroes. they get paid pretty well with huge pensions. their risk is very calculated.
