Deserved win but holy smokes the penaltys were one sided 😂 Panthers basically played 5v4 half the game
Good for you to mention that Bobrovsky is getting close to Hall of Fame territory. If the Panthers hang on to win the cup, Bob would most surely get the Conn Smythe. That along with the two Vezinas should get him into the Hall.
I noticed nobody has anything to say about Bob’s contract at the moment.
I don't think there should be any question if Drai should be suspended. Leading with an elbow, head main point of contact and launched off his feet. Honestly even Oilers fans should realize that the hit is textbook example of a suspension.
Imagine if Barkov is out for the series and Draisaitl doesn't get a suspension. Then what? Some Florida goon will just hit McDavid from behind into a wheelchair? We want a hard series to see which one is a better hockey team, not a series to see which team can hunt each other down first.
Bobrovsky has been interesting to watch over the years. Vezina winning stud goaltender who signs for Florida for a massive contract and then starts playing somewhat mediocre and becomes one of the "worst contracts in the league". For awhile there his legacy was just worst contract goalie.
Now its hard to see his contract as bad. He is absolutely essential for this team and definitely worth more than any replacement, so his contract can't be one of the worst anymore as Florida would not have gotten him without paying the extra and they likely would not (very likely) win a cup without him.
This series is boring I couldnt even make it past the 2nd period in the 1st game guess the only time ill be watching is when the Panthera can win the cup by this rate itll be Saturday

Good going Panthers!! Now finish them off. It's nice to watch a team actually play against the Oilers and not be so awestruck by McDavid. He is still a player skating on ice and you can still hit him. The Stars mostly watched them which was pretty annoying. Panthers definitely earning the cup. Go cats!

I haven't seen a shot to the head that hard since Draisaitl was on the receiving end of Nurse punching him in the eye after Drai was caught sleeping with Nurse's sister.

Home team will win all seven games. Teams are complete opposites. Geographic distance and cultures are different. I could see the Oliers outscore Florida something like 11-2 in the next to games and tie it up 2-2. JMO. Peace.

Disappointing final… i dont see this going more then 5 at the most.
A suggestion for game reviews for the next season orperhaps even next game of the finals. Seeing the final score straight from the get go kinda ruin the review if one watch the screen. How about you get somekind of a flap style score pegs where you can update the score during the review. It would be cool type of olde school. Ofc a sharp eye can see the goals from your writing but still. ☝🏻💡

Oilers are a work in progress and this is the trend in Cap Era SC hockey. Talented squads that have to perfect the ensemble concept..bringing back talented players until everyone is on board.
…so if Florida pulls this off…. 8 total appearances for a team from Florida, 4 Stanley Cups…. Does Minnesota have to surrender their self appointed title of “the state of Hockey” ? 😂 Must make sure to let em know it’s required FL needs to come up with a flag and accompanying theme song to sing before each home game, maybe a video montage.
Draisaitl should be out for series or very least next 2 games (1 as makeup for missed major penalty, 2nd as bs min to equal 3-4 reg season games). Feels like a 5 game min if he did this in December (especially if he had a different name/team but did exact same act).
Quite the sell job for Luostarinen. Did you see him looking around right after he hit the ice to see if there would be a call? Not even close to a 5 min major in the playoffs let alone a Stanley Cup Final.
