I think Columbus's current home jerseys are the worst in the league. Something about those thin red and white stripes on the navy blue background just doesn't look good to me. Those cannon thirds are beautiful though.

The McConnell family is stubborn. They seem to not want to change the logo/design eventhough the fans want it. But heck; I'd even go back to the original logo if they changed it up a bit. With that being said: their current logo is trash

The only team to have their team mascot on their jersey. The players hated it. Cbus fans were delighted with the new design as well as we did not like the inaugural jerseys either.
Honestly if they just swapped their logos they would be great. Their current star logo would make a great alternative logo (like how it started) and everyone loves the cannon so why not. Only thing I will say is I preferred the square numbers on the Reebok cannon, however it would be annoying if it was a fulltime jersey

I could not agree more that should be they're main Jersey. I would still want the Ohio flag patched on somewhere. The sleeve maybe. They leave out the best part of the Ohio flag which is the shape and the notch at the end. Anyway I do love those blue jerseys. I say get the red out of there. Out of everything. Just go with the dark and light blue. It looks soo good!

don't root for them but columbus alternates are my favorite jersey in all of sports. huge us history/sports buff and that combination is very untouched on in american sports
As a Columbus fan myself when I saw the original CB logo I never thought that the neon green stick was supposed to be the J.
As a Blue Jackets fan, I agree with you- the original design wasn't very good and was just too busy. The first thing the club needed to do was define what a Blue Jacket was. Originally they tried to attribute it to an Indian who wore a Blue Jacket he got from a soldier here in Ohio they referred to as "Blue Jacket". That lasted about 30 seconds. Then they tried to make it a bee known as a "Blue Jacket" instead of a yellow jacket. The problem I think, is political correctness. It took them about 5 or 6 years to admit the logo and nickname were inspired by the American Civil War. Once they finally did that they were able to improve everything. The current design features an Ohio state flag wrapped around a star to form the letter "C' for Columbus. The star denotes Columbus is the capitol city of the state of Ohio as capitol cities are denoted on maps with a star. The actual Ohio flag has 17 stars because Ohio was the 17th state. I disliked the original jersey so much, that I never bought one. I currently own nine jerseys. Three home (Foligno, DuBois and Seth Jones). Three white road (Gavrikov, Bjorkstrand and Nyquist). Three cannon third jerseys (Rick Nash, Atkinson and Merzlikins).
