I really respect Lingren but these last years have proven that he is too small and not wise enough to keep himself from being in positions where he can be hurt against larger players on the top lines. I think it's time to try Miller on the top line with Fox, and try Schneider and Lingren on the second line. Play Truba on the third line with Zac Jones.

We may want to see what we can get for Lindgren, as much as I love him. His style of play just doesn't seem to conducive to a long term career. We may have gotten his best years already. Kinda reminds me of the track Girardi was on. I understand the sentimental value… But I would see what we could get if we shopped him

Not sure about him. He is not going to age well and his play is not that great for a top defenseman. He stepped up in the playoffs but I feel like we can find a better defenseman for cheaper. Too risky.

Why do you guys cry over keeping some of these bums, chase after former Rangers, overpay for names on the back end of their careers and expect to see different results? How about we use our pipeline? Let there be a learning curve…you can’t cheat maturation. What good is our youth if we don’t let them play? Nobody gets better playing in the AHL.

1. He's too small to being playing first pair with Fox. You cant have two 5'10 180 pound defenseman playing together. We have seen them get worn down in the playoffs now three years in a row because both are too small for the playoff grind.
2. Lindgren is an OLD 26 with all the injuries incurred already and is going to decline quickly as the league enjoys grinding him into dust every year. He's the human pinball bouncing off of guys in the crease and boards. His decline is going to come quickly
3. There is no mathematical way you can afford to keep Lindgren when you have to give contracts out to Schneider, Miller, Igor and Laf. All have higher upsides then Lindgren in his best career year. You package him and Kakko in a trade this offseason for a big defenseman to pair with Fox to stop teams from beating up on him in the playoffs
