   God imagine a trouba-laine swap, fills our RW hole and these are 2 players who can use a fresh start on a new club, however i figure trouba will be garbage for any team he plays for

   Another possibility would maybe be Nik Ehlers, the Jets are listening on offers and I think his playstyle would be fantastic on this team. I see him as a Roslovic with a better offense and without the dumb turnovers

   I would fucking love this. Doesn’t bring much in terms of two way game, but for my money he’s one of if not the best pure shooter in the game. Had a rough go the last couple of years but he’s crazy talented.

   $8.7m for a guy who hasn’t had over 30 goals since 2018-2019? I don’t think we’re in a position to take some reclamation project. He certainly hit some magic back in Winnipeg, but I don’t know if it’s worth chasing that high.

   I would do it if we got rid of trouba. I don’t even know what Laines value would be but having a pure goal scorer that shoots everything would be really nice.

   8.7m is a steep steep price for where he’s at in his career, could easily turn out to be worth it but just as easily be a massive disaster

   He has played both wings and Center also so he’s pretty versatile for the top 6.

    If CBJ and NYR partnered they’d have to know Trouba comes the other way.

    So the question is what else do the NYR need to package for them to accept.
