  1. As a flames fan, the oilers have a killer PP and 2 scary players. If you can shut those 2 down, you win. Easier said, then done however. Go Panthers!

  2. Key word they all professional hockey players.the travel is doesn't matter if you are a gamer.

  3. Panthers did not toy with Swayman, Boston left him to dry games 2+3 and then they got back to playing hockey and made it a tough series. Those last games tight 2-1 wins for each team. Game 4 likely would have been overtime had the bennett goal not happened. Swayman was incredible in that series when allowed to be.

  4. The East has been harder than the West for a while. Hell you can argue Vegas and Colorado’s Cup wins were a result of the East being harder. Most teams out west play fast and soft like the Leafs

  5. Florida wins the Presidents trophy, eliminated from playoffs. Goes out and makes some changes to the lineup, makes the finals and loses. Makes some changes to the lineup making it a bit younger, and even quicker, makes the finals again and easily gets to the finals. They went from the best team in the league during the regular season to improving their team even more each of the next two seasons. If they somehow don't win this year then they definitely have to next year, right?

Unless Bettman made a deal with ol Vinny Viola when he bought the team to get him a bunch of playoff revenue in exchange for putting the half a billion dollar team and a Canadian team over.

  6. Series over. Why you guys even talking about it? Lol Oilers have no chance for you guys already. Just talk about the Panthers.

  7. Florida Panthers are a buzz saw, you are beaten down by game 3. Finish it boys, two more, let’s go Cats!

  8. Great show gents , Go Cats Go! What a journey being a Panthers fan – the down period of being the laughing stock of the NHL was rough but here we finally are, 2 more to go – LFG!!!

  9. the oilers are not the best team in the west. they had by far the easiest path and ran up against a stars team that had to go through a meat grinder. the east is trash. slow, chip and chase, shoot from anywhere. by FAR the easiest travel schedule. all things considered equal and fair, the jets would run over the panthers and they couldn't even make it out of the first round.

  10. The oilers beat a Vancouver and Dallas team both injured and missing key players bc they had to play stronger teams in round one. The Oilers nearly lost the round to Vancouver against a rookie goalie and against a team with a hurt Petey and missing Boeser.

They have very good players. They also have no depth. The coaching has improved, but there is a skill gap between the 3rd and 4th lines of the panthers and oilers

  11. Great insight for game 3. Not a fan of either team, but would be curious to see if Dangle's opinion on the Lundell knee would change after the new angle of it was just released.

  12. My insect metaphor would be likin the Panthers to horse flies. Even when you're swimming and go under water, they're waiting to land on your head when you come up for air.

  13. Finish Barkov with another elbow to the face and we will be in good shape or at least a fighting chance?

  14. Its ridiculous how down the podcast is on the Oilers. Guarantee if the Stars were down 2-0 after a couple bad games in Florida these guys aren't instantly writing them off lol. The way these guys sound make it seem like this series is over in 4, 5 at most. This is going 6 minimum. No matter who wins.

  15. This game 3 is the game where Leon Draisaitl will not be suspended, but his knees are going to wish he was suspended after Florida is done with him tonight.

  16. Tampa is too old and injured, Toronto beats nobody in the playoffs, Boston is overrated, Carolina is a good team with big holes, Isles and Washington making playoffs is a joke.
Other then that the east in the playoffs are great! 🤣
Florida is built like a hell of a playoff team though……

  17. As usual, you guys are reaching to justify the Leafs losing. The top eastern teams had an easier road by starting with Washington, which is had, and NYI and TB, who are the definition of mid. None of those teams makes the playoffs in the west. The Canucks were better than the Leafs and Bruins. The top teams matchups in the west were much harder than the east. The main conclusion is, the Panthers are better. Edmonton, Dallas, Colorado and probably Vegas and Vancouver square up everyone else in the east

  18. The reason the penalty kill streak ended is Evan Bouchard is awful on the penalty kill and was finally forced to take part in it.

  19. They are kind of being predictable…mcdavid keeps going to the left and either cuts into the crease or wheels around, Draisaitl keeps looking for that tight angle shot on the right side of the net…they gotta mix it up a little more

  20. Jesses got it. 4 out of 5 against that florida team??? Was holding hope till that point.

  21. Florida definitely had a slump or two in the regular season, but even with that in mind, I don't think it's comparable because they could have included OT losses–which are 3v3 now in the regular season–and also aren't four games against the exact same team; the Panthers are even better when they have the opportunity to just wear down the same team in back to back games like they're doing through these playoffs.

That said, 2-1 is hugely different from 3-0, so the Cats have to stay hungry tonight and plant the knife. Go Cats go!

  22. Steve dangles is a class act. When we beat y’all last year for the most part the Toronto fans showed some class. But these Edmonton fans are even worse than the Boston fans. Just being cry babies and I always had respect for the oilers team and fans until this series

  23. FLORIDA had harder road but If DALLAS made it, then we won't be talking about it. Don't see a logic of harder road? FLORIDA dominated every team. It's just the best team with the best goalie.

  24. The Panthers are built for the playoffs (excellent goaltending … excellent D-core … deep in offensive depth … grit up and down the lineup) … and have opened my eyes how very far the Leafs are from being a contender. I don't think the Leafs have a single piece that is made for the playoffs, except maybe Berube. The Leafs have soft figure skaters on the top 2 lines … weak D-core … weak goaltending … weak offensive depth. 😂 Eyes wide open.

  25. The Panthers' D is just so much better than the Oilers' D. I don't think it is even close. At the beginning of the season some experts thought that the D was weaker because of the departures of Gudas and Staal. Actually they got better and deeper compared to last season. Remember Mahura played in last year's PO. He hasn't played a minute in the PO. I am eager to see how the Panthers' D will be in game 3 under more pressure from the Oilers.

  26. I finally listened to somebody who actually says it the way it is! Florida is far and away the best hockey team right now and to make Edmonton seem like they're going to come back just because they're at home is ridiculous.

  27. I’m hoping for a Panthers sweep. Edmonton isn’t Canada’s Team. It’s better for the Cup to be in the tropics than in a cultural wasteland of ranchers and oil riggers.
