Absolutely not. Bert is a much better player than Joshua. If Marner gets moved none of the salary problems exist
I would like him as a cheaper Bertuzzi for sure, just sad we already had him and traded away just like all of our physical forwards in the past!
But you HAVE to sign Domi 1st!
Remember Ryan Reeves? what's going on with his contract????
2 year, 2.5M AAV.
The laughs always give away players then they become better player for another team Verhaeghe, Joshua, Steen, Hyman and etc. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Spending $3+M on someone like him is crazy. I'd bet the Leafs could find an equivilant decent player who isn't given qualifing offer for a fraction of the price.
Joshua for 4 years at 3.3 would be a must sign opportunity if that presents itself to the Leafs. Far better investment than Bertuzzi for more than 4 years or more than 4 million.
Joshua as 3rd line center with a Kampf dump would make sense…..
I'd rather see Johnson than Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi had a lousy first half, and if he wants too much money or term, Johnson is a better option.
Joshua plays 3rd line center. Bertuzzi top 6 winger. You should add both since they fill needs. Not sure why you say one or the other. Quite easy to fit both contracts long term. On top off that we have $22+million in cap space opening up 2025-2026 season.
The league is so watered down with average skilled players the Cup final has morphed into a joke.
