So… Fitz is essentially looking to replace Toffoli, McLeod, Vanacek, Smith, and possibly push Bahl down into a bottom pairing role. That's not very surprising – but I agree it's encouraging, Ace. We'll see how much Tom can realistically get done when half the league is looking to make the same improvements🤞

Siegs , 1st, bahl, Bastian, all on the table for trades gotta move pieces around here and get some grit
1. Dump Siegenthaler and Marino. Keep Hatakka. Teach Bahl to hit the gym and get a nasty attitude.
2. Trade Palat in a package.
3. Get Bertuzzi.
4. Get Pesce or Zadorov.
5. Sign Brossoit.
Fitzgerald has to deliver. If he whiffs and we head into next season with the same roster, he needs to be held accountable.

I really want us to sign Zadorov if he hits free agency. Read that the Canucks are pushing hard to resign him but he would be the top 4 defenseman Fitzy is looking for

Kmart Tom needs to stop flapping his mouth and start making moves. He keeps tipping his hand which makes it more difficult to make moves at a premium. Not sure why you continue to be so optimistic every time this moron opens his mouth. Why would you tell the league that you are willing to trade the #10 pick? Pretty sure the league knows we need a goalie, no need to put up a billboard. Any GM interested in moving a goalie I'm sure would call you to try and improve their team. And now this 5 player plan,seriously?
I’m worried about who they get for a #1 goalie 😬. Don’t wanna overpay but I can’t handle another year of subpar goal tending. It’s definitely going to be a big piece to the puzzle. Fitz, I hope was taking notes during the playoffs. What all teams had in common was great goaltending. It’s a must to make it anywhere.

Just putting it out there, for all the Kevin Bahl haters, he was second behind Lazar in hits on the team and second behind Nemec, 103 to 105 in blocks so before we get rid of him let's make sure we replace those numbers. Love Zadarov mean streak and size but he doesn't block shots. I would keep Bahl as a 6th d man and Marino regressed because he was playing more against top line players and isn't a shut down defense man. Only way this team makes any significant moves is if they would be willing to move a "star player" or 2 and K-Tom doesn't have the sack to pull the trigger.
I am thrilled to hear five pieces. However, Tkachuk is a long shot; Rangers seem to be going after Stamkos. I’d like to see Ehlers and Henrique. Never liked Palat. Coleman and Laine might boost bottom six.

I agree with most of your takes here but, again, … we don't need Stamkos. Offensive talent and power play talent is the one thing we already have. And I wouldn't go anywhere near Patrick Laine. You said yourself, injury prone, a little crazy, and again, he isn't even filling a need for us.
When you look at Florida, a big part of what makes them stronger than anyone is their depth: guys like Bennett, Barkov, Rodrigues, etc. These aren't guys you'd mention in the same breath with Stamkos or Laine, as far as their skill set. I seriously hope Fitz is looking for that type of player.
I also would give Bahl every possible chance to improve. Competent defensive defensemen with size are the hardest thing to find in hockey, even more than goalies imo. And they take longest to develop. Have to stay patient with him and bring in some other guys so he doesn't have quite so much responsibility as he did this past year.
