  1. The banner unveiling/lowering guys should be replaced. They botched a lot of the banners and the lighting crew was terrible as well.

  2. Dave Keon, you were my childhood HERO! I remember crying so much when you jumped to the WHA and I asked my dad, "Why?". He responded that he was likely paid more money. I didn't even know these guys got paid, it was their job. To me at the time, I couldn't understand the captain of the Maple Leafs could possibly leave his post. Ahhhh….I hate being grown up.

  3. I had chills watching this. Every great franchise in here and the US retires the numbers of their legends. So, so happy that the Leafs finally did the right thing

  4. Should I be happy they're retiring these numbers or pissed that it took them this long to do so.

  5. I’m not a fan of retiring numbers…..the numbers aren’t what made the man…..now any young player who wants to drape themselves with the same number throughout their hockey days in honour of their hockey hero, cant wear the number if they make it to the nhl and make it to the team they dreamed playing for since childhood….makes no sense to take that dream away from our youngsters as they grow up in hockey life ….let’s continue honouring the number but stop the bs of retiring of the numbers – takes away dreams more than honours dreams

  6. Im not a hockey fan let alone a leafs fan but I know Ballard was crying in hell as we speak

  7. I became a Leafs fan through my grandfather who heralded and trained in Canada for the RAF.

    He’s been long gone but seeing this made me think of him and how much he loved this team.

    Thanks again from the UK 🇬🇧

  8. That voice at the Scotia Bank Arena who always say Maple Leafs Goal . He should do the Winter Classic , Stadium Series & Heritage Classic games on the East Coast

  9. 🙌🙌👏🏿👏👏👏👏👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  10. Toronto all these greats and you guys couldn't organize a way to unfold a banner unreal

  11. just showed my dad this. He straight up burst into tears at Johnny Bower; told me he was his favourite player. Sorry bout that dad ^_^;;

  12. HAD LUNCH ONE TIME IN THE hot stove lounge, KING CLANCY ? was guest speaker got to meet him. had a shot chat. was a business org dinner,

  13. lived in cabbage town used to walk to the gardens tickets were grey standing 1$ sat on steps untill ushers told me to move lol

  14. Seeing this for the first time now in 2023, and having been a fan of the NHL for over 50 years I absolutely love the banners used for this ceremony. I would hope that other teams follow suit in the future. Seeing the faces with the numbers is truly a class act, but I would expect anything less from an "Original Six" team.

  15. I was there!!! My dad got me tickets for my birthday. Mitchy’s first NHL goal. Seeing the jerseys retired….man, I can’t even describe how amazing it was.

  16. I'm amazed they didn't at least mention Gretzky, his number is retired League Wide, he should have a banner up there

  17. Davy you are still my favorite hockey player of all time it was about time Davy they gave you this honor I hate what Ballard did to you all of us disagreed with how you were treated so Happy to see you fix your relationship with club.
