  1. Let’s make a baseball analogy. The old saying is if you shake a baseball tree dozens of gloves fall out but only one bat. Elite skilled players are the bat.

  2. Trade him for picks. No move or not. This 💩 would not happen here in nyc. Mitch would know better. Being soft isn’t an option. Toronto better cut the 💩

  3. Dreger shilling for the Marner camp again, same as Marner's last contract negotiation. So no playoff runs for another 20 years?

  4. Its the Tavares situation that might allow the Leafs some wiggle room, he isn't an 11 million dollar player anymore. Maybe a polite conversation with him regarding his future and the possibility of passing the captaincy to Austen, is one change the Leafs can make while still extending Marner. Mitch is Leaf for life in my opinion. It's the Tavares situation that needs to be sorted

  5. I think your all dumb yes keep marner they will have the money after Tavares is gone it took steave y in Detroit 14 years to finally wen they said he couldn't do it now they say he one of the best

  6. the biggest issue cap wise is Tavares making 11, but that will stop after this coming year. They'll have a lot more cap room free when Tavares resigns at half (or less) of his current contract.

  7. Lots of smoke in the air with Marner. Just a few weeks ago – Frank Seravalli reported Marner only had a 5% chance of staying with Toronto.

  8. Hayes is part of the Same Moronto media that pushed Kadri out of Moronto so he could win a Cup. They’re doing the exact same thing with Marner the same time they say he’s a great player. Some stats on Marner. He’s a Career +110, assisted in Tavares career 47 goal season, has 330+ assists on Mathews career 360+ goals. Without Marner does Mathews win the goal scoring titles? Doubtful. He leads the PP & PK. Meanwhile the Leafs # 1 D Man is a “Career -9”. Marner will play out his contract in Laff Land. As for Tavares he ain’t going anywhere and I don’t blame him. Leafs Management got suckered into the William Bystander contract because of One good season. He doesn’t run any PP, and for sure he’s seldom on the PK. Treyleving was likely told by Shanahan to sign the Swede.

  9. If they keep the "core 4" & nothing really changes then it will probably be nothing but the same with this Toronto team imo.
