  1. Apologies for The Marge Simpson breakdown.

I was LTIR on the weekend & had to visit Mark Stones doctor to get me in game shape for this video.

All seriousness, thanks for supporting everyone! Who wins game 5!?

  2. Nah, Cats are just way too good and Oilers defenders are way too prone to making crucial mistakes.

  3. Who knows. I told it after first three games and I am gonna tell it again. ONCE THE OILERS FIGURE IT OUT…..well….here we go…How will this end?

  4. I think Edmonton might get 1 more win, but I'm still putting my money on Florida ending it in 5-6 games

  5. We are going into a 3-game rematch of the first three games. The momentum has shifted, considerably, imo. It will still come down to goaltending, in the end and as good as Brobs is, that damaged him. Nieuwendyk did the same thing single handedly to Patrick Lalime in the early 2000’s. In a game 7, Ottawa could never recover. Different circumstances, same principle.

  6. Oilers have no chance and they NEVER did. Florida was pegged to win before game one that’s why there was a blowout when it didn’t matter

  7. I think its possible oilers win game 5 and maybe even game 6 but if it came down to an all or nothing match in game 7 I cannot imagine florida giving away the win.

  8. I'm just happy for Stuart Skinner. Man's proven he can be #1 goalie for Edmonton in years to come. Maybe next season Oilers will pull what Panthers did this season.

  9. Yes. I noticed how Oilers got those passes easier in game 4. Florida need to respond to that..

  10. I know less than nothing when it comes to ice hockey, as it is not played where I live, but it has been a treat to see the tactical breakdowns that you’ve been putting up.

That being said I’ve been surprised by how much carry over tactically there is between ice hockey and regular hockey. The simple cherry pick play is a nightmare because it forces a lose lose situation. Because it’s either you give the opponent tonnes of room to do other things and mark the floating forward or you close the space and let the floating forward do the funny. It’s simple and effective. And an utter nightmare for your central defenders of the forwards don’t backtrack.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this final goes the full 7 yards and comes down to the wire. The reason being that the Panthers either have to sack what made them so dominant in the first three games, their stranglehold on the Oilers D and the relentless pressure they put on the defence. Or they are going to double down on it and the cherry pick play means that effectively to borrow from football McDavid and Draisitl effectively become Griezmann and Morata from Atleticó Madrid. Where what would happen is that the oilers will get tonnes of extra chances because they just need to smash it up the rink. Effectively long ball (well puck) Target Man gameplay

And with my limited understanding I suspect that the panthers will double down on their current game plan.

And so I suspect that the next 4 games will come down to if Inspector Bobrovski is Sherlock Holmes or Inspector Gadget (the goofy and rather incompetent bit of his character).

  11. One team just waiting to get out of the building and you are comparing the defensive abilities of barkov to mcd, roflmao. But they did lose their nerves instead of just "giving up" and saving energy. It will get ugly if it goes back to edm.

  12. Amazing analysis as always, was very much waiting for it.

Panthers will come prepared for the next game, for sure.

I wonder how such a game actually affected Bob's confidence. If it has arosen any self doubt, there's a chance that he will not be that unstoppable in the upcoming games. That gives Oilers some hope, as they created very good chances in games 1 and 2, not to mention 4.

It is still a very tough mountian to climb for Oilers though. If they manage to take next game, the chances for game seven will be very high.

Good luck to both teams and let the strongest win.

  13. They probably still lose, but I think most of us can agree that if any team could come back from 3-0 down in the Stanley Cup Final, it's a team with McDavid and Draisaitl on it
