Looks like they keep him or buy him out. Who knows if he regains form. Canucks in a bit of trouble. It's too bad, the guy used to fly out there. They're looking for a scoring forward with defense. He's that guy..or used to be?
He's worth nothing and unless we pay 1/2 to 3/4s of his contact no other team will take him.
He had ACL surgery last year. It takes time to recover from it. Why not keep him for this year and see what he can do in the fall. He may be able to bound back

They really can't keep giving up draft picks at this point.They've traded away so many already. No 1st or 2nd this year, no 3rd for both 2025 and 2026. So unless they want to retain or buy him out (more dead cap) they might as well keep him and hope he bounces back.
