  1. nooooooooooooooooo wtf why wayyy wayyy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over paid rip we are finished back to the bottem next season fk this they cant DO ANYTHING RIGHT LIKE FK WE HAD ONE GOOD SEASON THEY JUST HAVE TO FK IT UP

  2. hughes is gonna leave the Canucks at this point, when he sees all these other klopecks getting paid more or similar to him when he is CLEARLY the best player on this team.
If I were him, Id be pretty upset

  3. People need to chill. 7.25 mill is to much for Hronek but 5 mill for Zadarov is great. I would love to have them both. Left vs right d is a different game. Zadarov is more replacable. Brendon Dillion could be signed for 2.5.

  4. I'm guessing that this could be a sign and trade to Carolina for Guentzel's rights, Necas and whatever other pieces added either way. I can't see Allvin spending that much on Hronek due to other pressing needs such as a top caliber winger for Pettersson.

  5. Don’t know what these comments are talking about. I think this is a good contract

  6. Tbh when the cap goes up next year and the year after that, this contract will look alot better

  7. Anyone who thinks zadorov is better then hronek is delusional. Zadorov would be your 3rd pairing left shot D behind soucy. You cant pay the guy what there asking. Hronek is way younger and a right shot D. Cant pay a guy for what they do in playoffs. Let the guy get the bag he wants on another team. Hes not worth anything over 4.5 mill a year by his season stats.

  8. Nah that's not a good signing. For over 7M for 8 years? At the most his a 4.5M. same with Zadorov and Myers. Sign them, you'll need big defensemen for the long run. Having short D is not good, ask your gf. Lol

  9. I would have liked a little closer to 7mil buts this is fine it would have been so hard to find a replacement and now hronek doesn’t have to hear us fans bitchin during the summer about contract or trades

  10. If he finds consistency it’s a good deal, but him playing with Hughes is crucial to his success if that d-pairing falters and their spilt I could see him being as spotty as he was most of the season. One of those deals that are hard to make heads or tails of until it’s a few years in.

  11. This is a great deal that well get better over the years and hes only 26, so hes gonna get better as the years go on and the cap goes up, this well be good short term and great long term, as for the more pressing need being a top winger thats only because we signed hronek, our top rhd, imagine if we didnt have that top rhd..how much would the focus be on our biggest weakness is now our defense…damned if you do and damned if you dont ,damn rights good job alvin

  12. Very bad, dumb move by the Canucks knuckleheads. They could have get Justin Barron from the Canadiens for a. 3 rd round pick and he would have been even better option than Hronek. The Canucks will regret this signing

  13. If he was a LHD i would argue more…….. I didnt expect too see this deal done in Vancouver for less than 8.5…….. i think in q few years its going too start looking discounted

  14. The number is fine, its the 8 years that might hurt… but by that point if the Nucks dont have a cup this core will have failed and Allvin will be out. First 4 years should be fine, which is all you should need. Hughes is underpaid as well, so that helps a lot.

  15. Hronek himself is one thing but Hughes also had his best season playing with Hronek. If Hronek can be a consistent 40-50 point guy in the next 5-6 years then this is a great deal. It's pricey for the point production but a top pairing RHD that can get you 40 points is a luxury in the nhl right now. If you aren't bringing back Hronek then who are you really replacing him with? A 34 yr old Tanev that won't be that far off in price? This is the big one out of the way, now we can bring back Myers closer to 2.75-3.25, Joshua at 3-3.75, Teddy B as a 4th line C n hopefully our big splash UFC Guentzel to play with Petey

  16. Well, if they re-sign Myers to a team friendly 2-2.5 mil per season contract, then we are basically paying the same two defenders the same amount of money as we were last year, just allocated differently.
