  1. Bahahahahaha as a CBJ fan, I’m very excited for PLD to be back in the division so I can boo him twice as many times a year 🎉😂

  2. Winnipeg the ultimate winner. Villardi, Iafallo, Kupari and a second rounder for PLD.

  3. can someone explain why it's alright to make trades while there's still hockey being played? it just seems like the strangest thing.

  4. Keumper is expendable because both Hunter Shepard and Richardson in Hershey are better (or no worse). Caps need offense and better to have an overpaid center than can actually help a team improve (especially if you get a bounceback year) instead of an overpaid goalie that is lost between three similarly competent goalies and paid ridiculous money to boot. I was never a fan of Keumper when he was signed. Vanacek and Samsonov struggled the year before yes, but the defense in front of them had a lot to do with it so Keumper coming from a Stanley Cup winning defense to a middling one was going to be a step down for him personally and no improvement for the Caps and it showed. I think it's a good move for Keumps too – LA will give him a better defense in front of him and even if it's only worth 0.030 in SV percentage that's the difference between people thinking you're good (.915) and people thinking you're bad (.885).

  5. The Kings definitely at this point in time won the trade. PLD would have to turn into an 80 point player every year for this to work out in their favor. Even if he's a 60 ppoint player, that still does not justify paying him $8 million per year. At this point in time Washington has the dumbest GM in the league to take on PLD's contract and not get more out of the Kings. He literally just has saved the Kings from a horrible contract and sent back a lesser contract with lesser terms. Good job in giving the Kings flexibility they didn't have before. Kuemper could be a dog, and the Kings still win the trade.

  6. This is a good hockey trade. Kuemper is a good goalie but has some age but the kings play the 1-3-1 which will give him lots of support to excel. As for PLD the caps need a center and also in the future will want the grit that Wilson had so he fit with what they need and would also like. 2 contracts that weren't amazing I'd say LA gets the better end money wise but it's a decent gamble from Washington

  7. king gm is front runner for gm of the year (for next season) for being able to get out from that contact with no salary retained and freeing up 3 mill

  8. PL doesn't have to ask for trades anymore. They will kick him out well before. Go Kings Go! I'm seeing a better season for the Kings next season. Addition by subtraction

  9. We gave up so much for PLD & as a fan since 1972 (10 years old Toronto 6 kings 4) I WAS FREAKING OUT INSTANTLY MADE A HOCKEY MANIAC FROM THAT MOMENT ENTERING THE FORUM) there only 'maybe' 2 other trades that were as frustrating as this, yes we tried him on 4 lines (injuries hurt 1 that he was doing well with) but to see a guy that big with #1 skill not hit, not grind, not scrap in front of net, not muck it up in corners, WE WERE ALL JUST PISSED OFF! Geezuz it was so painful, in any case WE ARE FREE! & hopefully only 1 more year with Blake & Luuuc, My prayer AS ALWAYS is we pick up 1 or 2 scrappy playoff successful players with that FREEDOM$ because we have a ton of young talent that is ready to explode onto the scene, 2026 folks looking real good for us! Still a bit early in 25 & we still have Kopi & D in their 19th respectfully.

  10. Tough call but Kings win. PLD even with his young age and at times skill set, is nothing but trouble. 3 teams in however many years. Guy is a PRIMO.

  11. Kuemper played a lot in the first part of the year when the Caps couldn't score more than a goal a game and couldn't figure out how Carbury wanted them to play. What goalie wants to play with that margin? Even still he kept them in games more so than not.

  12. Kings win this one as the Caps have little defense and Darcy will be covered in LA. Plus we get some much-needed $$$. GO KINGS

  13. If WSH gets 85% to 90% of PLD's potential, it may be a win for them. Too many questions about his work ethic for me to be comfortable with that however. But if I'm an LAK fan tonight I'm doing the happy dance to get out of that horrible contract.

  14. As a Caps fan this trade makes me wanna scream lol they traded a bad contract for a worse one

  15. That lone playoff goal, was off of Nurse's skate. It was more about Nurse's terrible defending than Dubois' offense

  16. Capitals gets 3rd line center with enourmous caphit who doesnt play in playoffs, decent deal aint it? On the other hand it doesnt matter none cos capitals only play for ovechkins record these days and forcefeed old over the hill veteran to get couple goals wich is hilarious. He hinders the whole team

  17. PLD reminds me of Patrik Stefan, amazing talent but so lazy that the talent isn't even noticed. Bro just wants the money, but no heart and laziness will produce a career like Stefan. LA wins this trade because of the salary dump and it's not even close, Washington will regret this for a long time.

  18. Kuemper will be retired for 4 years before PLD's albatross of a contract ends. There's a clear winner in this trade.
