  1. I think this just shows how solid the trade was. I think the markstrom trade is almost exactly like the Kuemper trade who was 30 or 31 at the time. Even the Kuemper trade the coyotes knew they were getting a very late 1st abd Timmins had multiple concussions at that point so his stock fell.

Not saying it derails the argument, but it feels weird that Corey Schneider isn’t included in this. I guess because he wasn’t the clear cut #1 in Vancouver?

It was pretty clear what NJ was trading for him for though.

    Edit: I can’t read

  3. I love marky, he’s been great for us, but anyone who thinks that Conroy could’ve gotten better deal for a 34 year old, injury prone goalie with a NMC and probably 4 years left in him (and it’s a gamble he’s going to be good for all 4 years, he’s streaky), is genuinely smoking crack.

For the last year I have noticed that many experts claim that Conroy got a good return all things considered and a vocal portion of our fanbase thinks far better offers were available.

I’m not going to claim that Conroy made the perfect trades but none of them are out of the ordinary.

tbh I feel like some people had unrealistically high expectations. I trust Conny—it’s pretty clear by now he knows what he’s doing 🤷🏻‍♀️
