L’entraîneur des Panthers de la Floride, Paul Maurice, s’adresse aux médias après que son équipe a perdu le sixième match de la finale de la coupe Stanley 5-1 contre l’hôte des Oilers d’Edmonton, le vendredi 21 juin 2024.     Coach, question. When you see Edmonton stacking the blue line on every powerplay, do you think it makes sense to just keep trying to break in the zone with speed? Or seeing you have only scored 1 PP goal and are being outscored
    1-2 while on the powerplay, it might make sense to chip the puck down low behind them and work the forecheck that got you here.

    Paul Maurice should have given Bobrovsky a rest in game 5. Oilers gave Skinner a break when it wasn't going for him. Maurice should've changed up his lines as well. Maurice deserves to be fired if Panthers don't win the cup…

    Panthers are running out of juice- losing in the finals last year, a short summer, and a long playoff run this season is catching up to them. Where’s Bennett, Tkachuck, Reinhardt, Forsling?

    If the Panthers blow this, Maurice is the guy I’ll feel most bad for. He’s been coaching forever and this is likely his last chance.

    Otherwise, I gotta cheer for McDavid and the Oilers. This very well be their only chance too.

    Panthers is out of gas or out of heart. They’re slow, avoiding fights and playing like it’s regular season. It needs to show on ice that you want it more than your opponent. You’re not afraid to pay for it with your body. Oilers does that more. It’s so simple at this moment. They’re both good teams and capable to win. We see game 7 who is willing to pay the price.
