Guessing liked what they saw with Ozzy and have him under contract for another year. Egor had struggled when called up and probably wanted more cash than what we wanted to spend. Plus guess he probably had KHL offers too.
Ya lets trade prospect for guy who has fewer points in his entire AHL career than Afanasyev had this past season. Poile’s biggest flaw was giving up on young forwards too early (see Kevin Fiala, Eeli Tolvanen and Ryan Hartman). Trotz seems to be doing the same thing.
This was a huge mistake.
Goddammit Barry. I really liked Ozzy and wanted to keep him but I love Egor more. RIP the Russian bromance with Asky and Svech 🥺

lol yikes. 10 goals in the last 2 seasons in the AHL while Egor had 27 this season alone lol. What a terrible trade
This just hurts however I think it’s best for EGOAT as he will definitely get some time in the NHL next season and he probably wouldn’t have gotten any meaningful time in Nashville to develop more. I’m just not sure Ozzy is a good return. He didn’t stand out much to me
